A few transfer related updates

I've never been more relaxed about a summer transfer window. The reason? CWAK and Bettis are in full control and in charge of the purse strings. They will do what is right for us 100% and if takes a bit longer to pull off a signing or two then that's what it takes.

Next couple of weeks will start to see football transfers really start moving on at a pace.

Cool as a cucumber with the CWAK-a-jack boys.
I’m not so relaxed or confident Wilder and Bettis will get their targets W, let me explain.
In the past we have not been a threat, even last season we were written of before we were invited into the PL club. This closed season we will be seen as a potential threat by the PL clubs and loaning or buying PL players from them will carry a ā€œno favoursā€œ to littl ā€˜ol SUFC factor.
As for our previous strategy of buying ā€œbudgetā€ lower league players they will now expect a premium if we take a player up to the PL, we are the big boys now, they will see we got Ā£137m prize money and they’re not bothered about the owners disputes and the cost of litigation etc.
So I’m concerned we won’t get our targets if Wilder and Bettis try and do it on the cheap again, we are where we are and if we want to stay we will eventually have to pay both the transfer and wages PL players expect.

We hardly did it on the cheap last season, we dished out over 50 million quid.

I think it's pretty harsh to suggest we've been doing it on the cheap, particularly since joining the Premier League. We spent a lot of money on Oli McBurnie, were willing to spend a big chunk on Neal Maupay, and then spent even more on Sander Berge. I don't think we really missed out on any of our key targets by being cheap.

And this season, I'd far rather be testing the waters and having initial bids rejected than blasting in with blockbuster fees which are accepted straight away. You end up over-spending.

So we've all just agreed this is true and are taking it as such?
Some have, some haven't and some who are desperate for attention have shared it on twitter in order to get follows and likes.
Oh and the irony of NGE user name has just hit home with another poster as he doesn't feel that he's always nice.

That's it, I think you're up to date.

Get a bit sick of explaining to people the content of the thread because they just want to pile in and get clever with someone

I've absolutely no idea what you're talking about, buddy?

What info is on Twitter?

Where's Ricky? I know he's had multiple names and been banned multiple times.

He always comes back, what's his posting name now?

I have it from the man himself that unless his account gets reinstated, it's unlikely he'll be returning.

He'll be posting on the other Blades forum on Vital from now on I think.

Sometimes you just have to look at your own actions and acknowledge where you screwed up (and if you still don't think you did maybe you're in the wrong place anyway).
