Former united player, united fan, new united assistant. He's more a blade than most. get him backed
I dont know why theres any negativity towards direct football
If man utd or Chelsea are losing 1-0 with 3 minutes left 70 yard hoiks into the box suddenly become cultured it appears
If you cant afford 7 or 8 iniestas or zidanes ,you go with what you can afford, and if this entails rapid deployment from front to back , if it gets results who gives a monkeys
92 teams in this league and anyone that says they never used a ball with ice on it is a liar
well to be honest ollie wouldnt go anyway, unless he could run a big extension lead for his keyboard and screen.
ollie is a typical keyboard warrior general, stands at the back applauding or deriding others with stronger morals and feelings depending on which will cause the most people to reply to his inane postings, for like several others he has no clear convictions regarding anything, or should that be no convictions worth doing anything about except telling others their opinions are worthless if they oppose him or worse accusing them of drinking real ale/fake ale/love long ball football/love passing football.
his diametric stances are legendry so i can well believe he would post this.
keep up the good work ollie.

So whats your point?![]()
The point is mucker, that we want the ability to be able to play football. Sure, we might knock it long once or twice, but we want to be able to pass it around. Man Un can play football. They have got some very good passers of the ball and the vast majority of the team are comfortbale on the ball. Ferdinand, Evra, Rafael, Carrick, Giggs, Scholes, Park, Berbatov, Fletcher and Rooney can all pass a ball well and aere comfortable on the ball. They knock it once every now and then. I do not care if we hoof it into the area when we are 1-0 down with 2 mins to go. What I care about is if we hoof it every time we get the ball.
Well have teams coming who play 11 in the box this season, kick first and ask questions later, and by comparison we might look better than we are, but if we are patient the talent will show eventually
but it wont be on 46 consecutive occasions , thats for sure
With respect I think that depiction of the third division might be a bit outdated. There are some bloody good teams down there who will look at us, realise we're shit, and go for it.
I've got the pitch fork out the shed ................
hey ................. where is the feight ? :fatbastard:

there are some good sides , about 4 of them
I think the majority work very very hard
I think the psychological part of visiting football teams will be to camp out at ours though , no matter how good they are , like it or not well be seen as a prize point for most
I dunno. Only 4 other teams (Preston, Wednesday, Charlton and Huddersfield) are even close to us in terms of resources, fanbase etc. As I have said elsewhere, if we don't finish in the top 6 summary executions in the BL car park should follow.
Depends what you mean by resources, Preston havent got a pot to piss in. As for the rest, well, how did the Grunters, Charlton and Huddersfield do last season? Of the three teams who went up last season Brighton and Peterborough could both be considered pretty small in terms of fanbase and budget.
Its not the size of your pencil, as an ex once told me, its how you write your name.
You could give me a bookies pen, or the most expensive pen in the world, but my handwriting is that bad that people can hardly a understand a word that i write.

According to my sources, a rare beast, a Wednesdayite who know a bit about football.
Wednesday struggled last season, as most sides visited Hillsborough, sat back and defended and then hit them on the break, and Wednesday struggled to counter that.
The more i think about it, the more Danny Wilson does it seem to be a sensible appointment, as he will be going in to that Division and hopefully knowing exactly what to expect and how to counter that sort of tactics.
A longer pencil tends to last a bit longer though....
He's from mexborough as well, so watch your valuables![]()
