I have this shirt. It's the oldest one I have thats not a replica from later.
Cracker of a shirt that. My brother had it - I was very envious. My favouriteView attachment 14659
I like that and would love to have one. I don't think Walth Snr would speak to me for a while though, he fuckin' hates that shirt.

It's was generally hated at the time. No stripes and it coincided with our first ever season in the third tier and then relegation to the 4th tier. It was also worn on 26/12/79
For those of us who watched United then, it has nothing but bad memories.

Still great shirts thoughAnother relegation shirt - 75-6 and our lowest ever points total.
Agree with that (I wasn't around and I love the shirt) - I expect this season's shirt to invoke similar reactions in years to come. Loads hate the fact that it is not red and white stripes in the traditional way, yet, if you look at it objectively it is a hell of a good looking shirt.
Give it 20 years and everyone will want a 15/16 Home shirt - apart from us lot who saw us lose 4 - 2 at home to Shrewsbury in it.
Same. Although it was a hand-me-down from my sister.I have this shirt. It's the oldest one I have thats not a replica from later.

although I've always hankered after seeing the Blades in this red/white/black combo:
Alan Cork. Holder of two awards:I had that shirt.
I lost the lace in the madness that followed Corky's equaliser against the pigs at Wembley.
The best mis-kick - which one was that?Alan Cork. Holder of two awards:
- The oldest looking man ever to play for the Blades
- The best mis-kick in Sheffield United history
Good point. But mainly vs the pigs at WembleyThe best mis-kick - which one was that?
