Win and what? They are expecting it, the bookies are expecting it, they are in turmoil and for once, a defeat against us is more likely to be met with a 'couldn't care at the moment' response. It might even end up being welcomed in a way, if it means Chancer making changes that they think will rescue their season.
A defeat on the other hand.....furkinell, could you imagine them if they beat us after what they've seen other teams do to them recently?
Not looking forward to this one at all.
Please tell me I'm wrong.
no such thing mate ;)

I think they will play like last season with 10 men behind the ball and get a 0-0 win

We as fans need to make the atmosphere hostile as possible, they’re young players especially their keeper could fold under the pressure. Pepper their box with crosses the young lad is a good shot stopper but has no command of his area, give him some shit and he could crumble.

Win and we get 3 points, keep our promotion challenge on the table and laugh at them at the same time with 5 losses on the bounce

Lose and it doesn't bear thinking about

We've got no chance in the Derby

NYowl seems to think they should come and get Wilder
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

What planet do some of them live on ?

Yes, it needs to be a hate filled cauldron even if you dont particularly hate them, not a few rounds of "We love Yoonited we do, we love Yoonited we do"
It needs to be nasty, edgy and threatening, pushed to the limit of what we can get away with.

The 3-1 Brown's volley atmosphere would have their fragile egos shitting themselves

I was thinking about this while tidying up the back garden today .
IF we beat the pigs say 1 or 2 nil , pigs will say were shit , we ( pigs ) are a shambles at the moment you should be beating us by more
If we pile it on winning 4 or 5 nowt , the pigs will turn around and say what do you expect we’re a shambles you should be beating us by that many
If we draw , your shit ( us ) you should be beating us as we’re a shambles
IF , they win they’ll say were shite , you couldn’t even beat us when we’re a shambles
We need to be at there throats from the off get into em and hopefully score early , now that would shit them up
Crowd into it our players into it ,
Not counting any chickens , and not forecasting anything
UTB

Bring the bastards on. The atmosphere needs to be as hostile as possible.

Form book out the window, anything could happen, have an extra pint or three to loosen those vocal chords!

You're wrong. For us it's a reaction to a bad performance prior and its a chance to add to their bad form and potentially put them 1 point from the bottom 3. This derby is a colossal game for both

This game isn't difficult to predict if the same outfit goes at the Lane which went at Hillsborough yesterday. I saw it. United would only have to score one goal and the floodgates would duly open.
But now there's the variable of McCarthy thrown in; he wants the job and Wednesday know it, but do they want him? His approach would be utterly different to that of Jos, and so would his team.
It's a poser for Tufty.

I’m gonna be in full voice on Friday night.
I can guarantee that!!!!. I had to miss the 0-0 at the Lane as I was recovering from brain surgery!!!.
Wilder will have all the lads up Friday.
Can’t wait to see hendo’s celebration when we score!!. UTB

Hope McCarthy doesn't go there, I quite like him, don't want them with a manager who is likeable. Much harder to take the piss.

Whatever the result the piglets will come away having won

Even if it's just in making up stories about disabled people getting kidney punched

I don't buy into this 'easy win' rhetoric from either sets of fans, for a number of reasons. First off, we ain't that brilliant, sure we play some really attractive stuff at times, but we're hardly running away with it. Secondly, the championship is a really competitive league, anyone can beat anyone.

Finally we have the opposition. Wednesday fans are panicking a bit at the minute, and sure they're on a bad run, but they started the season pretty well. Then when you look at individual players there's undeniably some quality in their squad:

-Barry Bannan is a really accomplished midfielder. If given time on the ball he has the ability to run the game, has an excellent range of passing and can play the killer ball.
-Adam Reach. Really tidy footballer, obviously he can ping one too.
-Lucas Jaoao, a player we all wanted. A bit inconsistent, but capable of hurting a team
-Fletcher, capable of some great hold up and link play. Successful Premier league career too.

Even defensively there is still some decent players. Hector looks a really solid player, strong and good on the ball. Tom Lees was a major part of their success a few years back, so most have something about him.

They have some good players, and the majority of their supporters thought they'd be above us this season. Despite the lack of form any issues behind the scenes, beating them would still be a major scalp, don't let them tell you otherwise.

Play at our best with the fans behind us and we will beat them. But it won't be an easy game .

If a team goes into a game low on confidence rest assured that team will struggle against a team who attacks them from the off, if we are patient in any way shape or form and start to play the ball around at the back then the longer the game stays 0-0 they’ll start to breed a little confidence like they did last year at the lane when they nearly knicked the 3 points. We must steam straight into them from the off and let them know that the depth of despair that they’re suffering at the moment will stay with them for atleast another few weeks. :)

I don't get the OP here. I want to beat those scruffy bastards more than ever now.

Well good luck with that. So many fans appear to be ''worried" or "nervous" about Friday night I'm surprised their mums will let them out.

I don't think I've ever gone into this game without being nervous or worried.

That doesn't mean I'll be sat on my hands in silence on Friday, believe me :D

I hope there’s a bus strike on Friday! I don’t want them wankers wrecking our pitch reversing the fuckers off on Friday night, again.

They have pretty much accepted defeat, they're just hopeful its not a battering. We are not consistent enough to guarantee a hammering. I Just want to win the game.
