Says it all really. Hang your head in shame top brass. No surprise, very sad to see the club we all love on its knees.

And I don't care if it has been impossible for people to get down to Lane and buy em! I don't care if its near Xmas either.

To be fair mic that is probably part of the reason. The other reasons are that there is over a week until that fixture and people are just generally staying away from football at the moment.

Come matchday there will be at least 50% more in the away end, I'm pretty sure of it.

When we return to being a football club, there might be the semblance of enthusiasm again.
McCabe turned us into just a business, a balance sheet, with football of secondary importance.
It's no wonder no buggers are interested when our owner makes it plain he isn't.
I salute the 800 bothering to go.

Given that its nearly a week till the game, it's near xmas and the weathers shocking, i'd say that weren't bad, despite that your ignoring those factors Mic.

And the ticket office has been closed for a couple of days due to the weather.

Says it all about you Mic, really.

After seeing your Canadian weather I'm surprised that many have made it out to buy tickets ,with Christmas shopping probably a priority.
Well done the 800 you all deserve a lovely vodka or two!

I for one will be going and dont have my ticket yet. Mainly because I live nowhere near Bramall Lane and couldnt get because of the weather.....and the ticket office has been shut the last couple of days so I couldnt phone for them. I tend to be quite laid back about buying away tickets anyway.....tend to buy them a couple of days before.

How many will there be similar to me? I would imagine quite a few.

I thought it was the number of people prepared to pay £32 for the cat A home game.

The dingles are expecting between 3000 and 3500 Blades. I told them it was a little optimistic.

There is still a week left however, when people can actually get to the ticket office.

£25 Adults.
£13 Over 60's and Under 18s
£7 Under 12s

Aye, just seen that. Not too bad given the concessions. I need to think of another excuse....:D

I think the fact that you don't care how many we take to Barnsley says it all about you an all.

You know that exclamation mark I put in my post, well that's meant to suggest an element of a joke, a tongue in cheek comment to pass the time on a Friday afternoon.

I still think our following will be a terrible reflection on what is happening to United and the loyalist of the loyal deserve a medal.

Apologies Mic, i tend to find that your posts aren't that clear when it comes to jokes or tongue in cheek comments. try a ;), it does tend to work better.

I agree in the sense that when the game comes around 800 fans will be a joke, but there's lots of time yet.

And I would imagine that doesn't include our box which was taken direct from Barnsley

I usually buy my away tickets when i'm at the home game, i.e. i'd be buying it tomorrow were the game on... which it's not and anyway I haven't been able to get off my drive for the last couple of days. Even if I could, the whole estate is impassible by most vehicles, so i'm going nowhere.

add another 5 people awaiting to get tickets, we always leave them till the last min aswell.

I'll be buying 3 or 4 this week. Micalijo's the only one of our group definitely not going. He says he's too busy washing his hair and reading the accounts. Shame on him.

Out of interest, anyone know how many we took when we lost 2-0 and Murphy had a shocker? Think it was under Heath and have a feeling HMS Shipperley got both goals. I bet we'll take more this time round.

We need a chant of "get a proper job, Kevin Duke" ;)

It's an in-joke, but if all 800 or so sang it, my faith in Blades fans would be wholly restored :D

It's shit that we've only sold a few tickets. How dare people not trudge down to Bramall Lane through the snow, and how dare the club not offer to carry people through the snow on Tracy from the ticket office's back?

It's all Kevin McCabe's fault that it snowed too, and if only Trevor Birch had been out driving the gritters all round Sheffield like Milan Mandaric is on the streets where only piggies live. Bastards, the lot of them.

I know for a fact that we didn't sell any tickets for this game between 2am and 4.30am this morning. Disgraceful...

There is a major variable missing from the equation that noone has mentioned .... Barnsely is shithole. It is Dingleland.

25 quid to freeze your tits off, watch a crap game in a tin can of a stadium, watch us lose, get slaughtered by those horrible fans, rsk getting decked and spend the afternoon in Barnsley; Fook that (now the shed is built) I would rather go to Meadowhall with our lass (and use the 25 quid to get the mistress a present) ;)

You've just reminded me what football is all about....:)

That's three tickets on order.
