No wonder we were shit back then if that's all we were paying in wages.

I was 26 then, just met our Gert and trying to figure out a way of making a decent income (must have cos bought our first house about a year later) Mostly skint though as I recall.

Bring back the good old days.

I was 25, just married with first house. Daughter born in early 1980, so, when these accounts were done it would be about the time I got ratted at a wedding and said to my Gert - it’ll be OK without anything, just this once!!

It was a crap time at BDTBL, so a good time to focus on other things.

Now I’m old. I’m glad I’ve got Tufty’s army to focus on.

One more step needed and Tufty will have us back to where we were in 71. Let’s get back in the De Lorean!

Magic

I’ll quote this next time the HMRC fine me £100 for being a day late with my tax return !
38 years x 365 x £100 ... wonder if KMc or Prince are pushing that receipt across the table to each other saying ‘ No I Insist ‘

It's Companies House, not HMRC. They'll just politely - unless you get some unhinged woman on the phone who thinks she saw you stealing the £100 from her purse - to fuck off.

10 year old, not a care in the world and Tom Baker was and always would be Doctor Who. Great days.

I was 12 and had just discovered the Readers Wives section. A giant step up from the Littlewoods catalogue lingerie pages
:D

I was 17 and just started work at a company after they told me that I would receive an apprenticeship.
I swept up, mopped up, cleaned up, and I changed the labels from out of date bread that had been returned from supermarkets into labels that showed it was still in date and then it was sent out to supermarkets again.
On a good day I stood in for some regular worker on bigger wages than me who was too drunk to do his job.

Happy Days that were a real eye opener to the workplace, I couldn't wait to go back to studying properly like my Mum & dad told me to do in the first place.
Oh and United were shit to top it all off.
