as I said on another thread we're becoming harder to score against something and stopped conceding screamers

We've just been letting people take shots from closer in that Jam's fortunately been able to deal with. Allowing that isn't a good thing.

every team in every division will have shots at goal no matter who they are, whether you allow them too or not its part of football and what every team can do the good thing is we've had three clean sheets in a row against teams who had some decent chances at goal

are we really? Oh.

And you have some facts to back that up, or is it a feeling?

I don't think we are becoming harder to score against tbh...quite the opposite. But I'm looking back over the last 10 matches or so, not the last couple.

weve let in less goals than every team below us except millwall ,
who have let in 5 less , but scored 5 less
and we have conceded less than fulham and bristol city

so its not just a feeling

You've missed the gist of this. The guy is saying, "we are becoming harder to score against". My question is, "since when?". Because I think we have become easier to score against and easier to beat, in the past few months. I could have imagined of course, but the league table seems to suggest this is the case.

not really we are one of a group of 5 who ar seperated by 2 points after 38 games and theres liite proof we are worse than boro , who are above us due to having played us at home one could argue

and whos spent the most in those 2

weve lost 4 in 2018 , 3 to 3 of the top 4 clubs
wolves have lost to 2 of those 3 since january

we got hammered for only just beating QPR who then went and won at villa and drew at fulham

we seem to have very negative perceptions of ourselves , far more than any other fans appeat to have

if after 38 games and a possible 114 points here we are currently only 2 points from a play off spot is failing , well
Id have taken this level of failure in August

It depends on when you define the period we were leaking goals.

My view is we fell apart when we lost Coutts to injury. In the next 6 games, we got 2 points and conceded 14 goals.

I think Wilder has stabilised us and kept us in contention because in the next 15 games we've taken 22 points and only conceded 14 goals. We got a bit of a pasting at 2 venues conceding 3 at both Wolves and Fulham.

I expect most of our remaining games to be tight because there is a lot at stake so the defence needs to stay resolute and we need to recover some early season attacking verve.

in our first season back we have suffered 2 3-0 reverses to probably 2 of the 3 teams better than the rest

take out those 2 and weve competed in every game , just been poor at cardiff millwall and hull

in other games weve lost weve probably could have won any of them on another day with a bit more rub of the green

teams dont see us as an easy touch

why do some of our fans think we are

sky has had us on a lot as we are good to watch , always give a good account

only hull was disappointing live

We're missing more chances than we did at the beginning of the season when it seemed that 80 percent of our chances we were putting away.
We've missed a few howlers of late, sharps chance against ipswich on the follow up,then Saturday against forest, clarks headerby was easier to score.
But I'm being picky.
Utb.

That's only from the last couple of games the last 3 teams we have faced have all had shots you would expect to hit the back of the net and we've come up with saves for each of them look at the two best forrest chances from the second half both of those should have gone in but Blackman has been producing brilliant saves to keep them out even Forrest and Ipswich (bat their game against hull) have become hard to score again over recent weeks for the same reasons

i think we have lost the promotion adrenalin and the unknown element up front. Whilst at the same time our defenders have wised up to the division and it's abilities. Last year let a player have the ball 25 yds out = row Z. This division = worldy.
hence were now getting 0-0's.
a couple of new attacking options was/is needed, Wilson not really kicked on as expected, and new lads haven't hit the ground running.
hope we do it this season tho, i reckon the 3 coming down will be stronger than those going up - all be it with new managers - Pardew and Lambert to be sacked when relegated.

Blackman has been doing his job . We are not lucky he's saved us it's what he's coached to do . How many opposition keepers have had blinders against us and stopped us winning; far more than in league one as they are better keepers. Bristol city's keeper saved them from losing 6-2 here

He had quite a bit of help from the woodwork, but you are right, particularly in the Aston Villa match when their goalie was MOM!
