Can see it coming as no suprise now wilder is back will be don't loose games now not go and try and win them.
Cooper
Ogbene McGuiness Mee Tanganga burrows
Matos peck (unfortunately)
Hamer chong
Campbell

Think that is about as strong as we can line up right now with ings to come on and hopefully get us a goal in last 15-20 mins

I am not sure 5 at the back is asolution to a lot of the problems in the squad. But one thing it would do, is get two players who may improve our ability to create chances or open up the opposition, in Burrows and Seriki, further forward more often.

I don't know what the solution is but I think a back 3/5 is going to end up been the answer under wilder let's be honest other than last season where we didn't actually achieve promotion it is the only formation that has seen wilder win promotion etc. I think it would be easier to just change back to basics and defend well with the extra CH and then if we get a goal we get a goal some thing needs to change because what ever we are doing so far clearly isn't working under selles or wilder today was just as poor as any of selles performances I can think of at least 2 other times Charlton should have scored both times when peck give the ball away spring to mind. No threat at all to teams they know all they need is a goal and it's game over.

Doesn't matter how many you play at the back if you're full backs just let people walk past them

McGuiness is toss godfreys worse burrows and seriki look like celebrity players in socceraid
And coopers arms don't work anymore

But the most worrying thing for me was just the lack of hunger or desire
There were times today when I thought play had stopped looking at our players just stood waiting for something to happen

What I want to see vs Oxford. 3 at back, Femi / Burrows as wing backs, 2 up front and Peck benched. We don’t have wingers to play a wingers system.

Posted this on another thread that we could have switched to a 3-4-2-1 without making a sub, which I think we should have done to help ease the pressure on the backline.

--------------------Cooper
-----Godfrey-Tanganga-McGuinness
Ogbene------Matos----Peck------Burrows
-----------O'Hare--------------Hamer
--------------------Campbell

Of course, you could make a few changes to it, especially based off of some of the individual performances.

--------------------Cooper
-----Tanganga---Mee---McGuinness
Ogbene---Matos--Soumare---Burrows
-----------Chong--------------Hamer
--------------------Campbell

We desperately need Arblaster back

Until then, any formation will result in low quality attacking play

But a back 3 is clearly our best bet. Even if it's Mee at LCB - just risk the lack of pace on the left

Switch Mee to the left of the 3. Make him captain and your second formation looks to be the best of whats available.
