I bet Ricky would be gutted with a 40% full kop.
Where would the singing area be?

25k season ticket holders. Split them in half alphabetically. Hit a game miss a game A-L M-Z.
If not, why not?
Last years season ticket holders- go to a game, miss a game. Only fair way to do it
Because you'd be counting on the surnames being an even split there. In the M-Z section, for example, you'll struggle to find too many people with surnames beginning with O, Q, V, W, X, Y and Z.

Maybe we've got quite a lot of Eastern European fans with strange surnames with those letters in em.Because you'd be counting on the surnames being an even split there. In the M-Z section, for example, you'll struggle to find too many people with surnames beginning with O, Q, V, W, X, Y and Z.
Because my grandson would be in one half and we would be in another. We travel to games together. The club will work something sensible out that we can all agree with.25k season ticket holders. Split them in half alphabetically. Hit a game miss a game A-L M-Z.

It's shit nobody is going to pay for a season ticket, and then to be told they can only attend X amount of games and the clubs will suffer with lost revenue, it's either all or none.Surely no away fans which should give us a few more seats. You should also be able to bubble with family members or friends you attend with as that can be done through your membership account.
40% does sounds very low mind.
There’s a clear increased risk of spread with nearly 100,000 fans going all over the country twice a week. The most sensible first step is to say there’s going to be no away fans next season and then use the extra space to seat more ST holders. It's shit nobody is going to pay for a season ticket, and then to be told they can only attend X amount of games and the clubs will suffer with lost revenue, it's either all or none.
You'll still be able to piss on the legs of the bloke in front, even from a metre away.Hopefully they'll have relaxed the social distancing rules by then, or else we won't be able to have a piss at half time
Not in Ireland. Just saying.Because you'd be counting on the surnames being an even split there. In the M-Z section, for example you'll struggle to find too many people with surnames beginning with O,
They move closer towards 20,000 and you only have to miss 4 games over the season. That’s the level they need to get to given family groupings and spreading folk out throughout all the stands.
40% is bollocks. How can 40% of Man Utd’s crowd be as safe as 40% of Bournemouth’s? Inside the ground is only one aspect of it, IF this is a safety thing.
My point wasn’t inside, also not all stands are the same. If you are right at the back of a massive stand the air circulation is going to be much less than in our stands as they’re much more open to the elements.Because they'll be equally spaced apart.
You just run out of space quicker at an 11K stadium.
Outside the ground however and coming in is the issue. Turnstiles, staggered exits, more toilets, no food and drink will all need to be considered.
Genuine question, why do you feel that way?
My attitude is similar to what I had before football restarted: football with no fans is better than no football at all. So by extension football with SOME fans is better than football with no fans.
And I say this as someone who would probably not get a ticket to any of the games if it was done on loyalty points (as opposed to having a ST, in which case, woohoo). I'd be more than happy for other people to get to go though seeing as my current circumstances are just watching every game on TV anyway.
The chaos it would cause as some fans would be favoured over others. It will be loyalty points based and we are now at a point where we are not far off needing 100,000 loyalty points to get first refusal on tickets. The atmosphere still won't be as good and how would social distancing be implemented around the ground.

I wouldn’t have a problem with that provided that all games are televised and the current TV set up (cheap subscriptions, free to air, club subsides for NOW TV) is maintained til 100% capacity is achieved.
So I buy three (season)tickets for the lottery which will cost 2 x adults and 1 x child. Not 1 of them gets pulled out so I never get to see a game and I'm 700 quid lighter. That's a crackin' idea.
But how many others are in the same position regards different names in families? My solution isn't foolproof but it's as simple as it could possibly be.Because my grandson would be in one half and we would be in another. We travel to games together. The club will work something sensible out that we can all agree with.
