Not a wind-up, but 4 items from today's print version interested me.
1. A 2-page spread by everyone's favourite, Danny Hall, on the big-match experience of a complete United squad (team + 7 subs), and management. Even the younger players are quite battle-hardened. In a couple of cases the evidence is a bit thin, but it is reassuring to know that they have all been there before.
2. An item based around a picture of the players having a beer for JOC's birthday. Old-school management, bonding, they have earned our trust, and at the right time, this can be positive. The drink culture may have been a problem in the past, but the current squad is clearly being trusted. Just hope they didn't buy the 16-year-old fan in the pic a pint, as we would no doubt have a points deduction.
3. Neil Harris commented on how good we are at set-pieces at both ends of the pitch. It is clear that things are better in this respect this season, but does anyone have stats to demonstrate this?
4. Matthew Bell reminisces about TC sitting on the ball v. Arsenal. I disagree with his final point, that in the last match v Chesterfield it would be good to see Billy do something similar to celebrate (assuming all goes well). TC did this to return the compliment to Alan Ball; I don't see a good reason to offend Chesterfield in this way. If we had been playing Bolton, then to do it with Madine on the pitch would be fine, but I think we should wish Chesterfield well.
