Not a wind-up, but 4 items from today's print version interested me.
1. A 2-page spread by everyone's favourite, Danny Hall, on the big-match experience of a complete United squad (team + 7 subs), and management. Even the younger players are quite battle-hardened. In a couple of cases the evidence is a bit thin, but it is reassuring to know that they have all been there before.
2. An item based around a picture of the players having a beer for JOC's birthday. Old-school management, bonding, they have earned our trust, and at the right time, this can be positive. The drink culture may have been a problem in the past, but the current squad is clearly being trusted. Just hope they didn't buy the 16-year-old fan in the pic a pint, as we would no doubt have a points deduction.
3. Neil Harris commented on how good we are at set-pieces at both ends of the pitch. It is clear that things are better in this respect this season, but does anyone have stats to demonstrate this?
4. Matthew Bell reminisces about TC sitting on the ball v. Arsenal. I disagree with his final point, that in the last match v Chesterfield it would be good to see Billy do something similar to celebrate (assuming all goes well). TC did this to return the compliment to Alan Ball; I don't see a good reason to offend Chesterfield in this way. If we had been playing Bolton, then to do it with Madine on the pitch would be fine, but I think we should wish Chesterfield well.

So 4 non stories there then. The Star exclusive is stating the obvious "Blades are doing rather well and look we have have pictures to prove it."

Neil Harris reckons we are good at set pieces? WOW really? hold the phone. I best get some change together and buy a copy of todays Star.

Meanwhile this exclusive interview with Phipps is 100 times more interesting: http://www.viewfromthejohnstreet.co...ble-journey-from-desert-storm-to-bramall-lane

A couple of decent articles now and then from The Star doesn't cover up the mostly useless shite they have printed in the past.

I don't think we should be disrespectful to any club by sitting on the ball regardless of the result

Having said that, for that Chessie wanker that rings up Footy Heaven and sticks the boot into our club at every opportunity I wouldn't be so bothered.

I think he rang in last night, but don't think he mentioned us (for a change)

At least I saved you agonising over whether to spend your hard-earned cash. ;) I have no pro-Star agenda; the headline on today's front page is shoddy and lazy journalism of the worst kind.

Thanks, HBT. All the best

I have the Green Un app on my phone, half the time the articles are utter crap but now and again there is a good one, but as pointed out does not cover up for the 100s of shit ones and pointless ones they churn out week in week out.
