Assuming we dont pull off an absolute miracle next week, then the club should do the same pricing as for today. They will get the money from Sky again, meaning put prices down, fill the Lane and make some noise, the atmosphere at the first whistle and in last 20 mins was incredible today. Maybe our play off hoodoo will be broken this year? We can beat Stevenage, County or Carlisle if we play like we did in last 15 mins, we need the support though to make it happen.
We will probably only get 24,000 for Final if we get there but we have enough in our locker to beat MK Dons with a bit of luck and a load of passion.
Keep the Faith Blades

What I think needs to be done for the play-off game is 'pay on the door'. Expecting people to make a separate trip down to get tickets will result in a crowd of 12-15,000.

You've been able to pay on the day for every game this season expect the derby and the game yesterday

Exeter is my last game if the season, regardless of what happens.

I refuse to acknowledge the play offs exist, instead I'll just meander along for the next few months and glance at the divisions in june to see who we're playing.

Not really sure what this makes me in terms of pigeon holes, but I really can't be fucki bothered with that play off crap.

It's hardly a big effort is it?

As for the atmosphere, was it really that amazing? I thought it was tense, and only picked up in terms of noise right near the end. Even then, it went pretty flat when we weren't attacking.

Also, I'm not usually one to complain too much about 'part-timers; complaining about being too popular is self-defeating (though I have to admit I perversely loved the cup games this year). But even leaving aside the fact that the pub was stupidly full, and getting to the toilets in the ground was a pain in the...well, bladder, there were some absolute irritants about.

I remember when occasional fans were a happy clappy bunch. Pleased to be on their big day out. Not now. Even these lot are jaded moaners, which I guess is to be expected; if you follow United, but only show up for the big games, you're looking at a minimum of a 75% chance of disappointment and misery at football matches.

Don't get me wrong, everyone has a right to moan at the football. I exercise this right often. But when you've obviously never seen us play all season - or evidently not even read about how we play - that moaning grates, like the cack spouted by a lad sat near me.

"Faster!" he'd shout, every time we had the ball at the back. Now when we were 2-0 down, I'd agree, but this was from the first minute, when Collins made a sudeways pass, or, heaven forbid, one of the midfielders played it backwards. "What you doooooing?" he constantly whined.

Well, we're fucking it up, son. If you're coming back for the play-off games, get used to it.

Just a side note concerning play offs, apart from the extra attendances, semi, and possibly final, is there a lot of difference money wise by coming 3rd in league after play offs as opposed to automatic 2nd.

Possibly, but since the winners of league 1 only get £25k and the runner up £10k, then it would be peanuts whatever the amount.

I'm in Glasgow of the evening of the first leg, can't make the second leg at the lane, and I've an exam two days after the final, so can't really afford to have the day off.

I'll still probably go though, but this time I'll shell out for club wembley tickets. :)

When we win next week and Wednesday draw, you won't have to go!

All of our previous play off finals have been from Champ to Prem and we have failed miserably in all of them.
If we manage to get to this one it may be a little less of a challenge.

Nah, who am I kidding - we won't get there for one, as Icannot see us beating Stevenage over two legs.

If you think Wennesday will do anything but win then you really have your red and white glasses on.

Playoffs for sure for us now.

Wednesday have never beaten Wycombe at Hillsborough*

*They have only played them once...

If we get to Wembley the club will overestimate demand and make a complete hash of selling tickets by needlessly restricting early sales to one per person ensuring large groups of mates can't go together putting off the part timers from bothering (if any are still bothered).

Be a minimum £100 to £150 for ticket travel scram and beer to see us bottle a big game again. We'll do well to take 20,000 given there's no new Wembley novelty factor for us.

But would be classic United to take only 15,000 and then produce a dramtic victory.

Didn't Millwall take something like 40,000 the year they beat Scunthorpe to go up?

Short journey isnt it.

90k seater stadium, 10k for sponsors, Club Wembley etc. You would think both teams could get 38k tickets.

Not that Stevenage or MK DOns could sell that many, Huddersfield might...

Nope, been thought out this time, Front of the Queue will be a Ticket Stub Vs Stevenage accompanied by 3 x Peters Pie Wrappers and x 5 Coca-Cola Bottle Tops.

Cant fail

Speaking as a part timer myself, i sympathise with what you mean. whilst i always read the match reports etc, i can rarely afford to go. its a bit of a treat when i do go.

that said i think i do know quite a bit about football so i hope that the things i do say at least make sense, whereas this chap obviously knows nothing about holding onto possession. maybe he's not used to seeing ball playing centre halves in a Blades shirt!

so if you do overhear me, hopefully il blend in!
