Hi I'm the Watford match thread, I aim to be a positive thread about team selection and how we can learn from the season so far.
The Arsenal match is in the past now so please refrain from arguing about it (as much as possible) within me :)

Hi match thread, hope we don't hear from you too many times in the future because Watford matches are generally shit.(Can't believe I'm talking to a thread!)

I think we've all seen that Monty and Speed together just doesn't work so that needs changing even though we are going to be in one of Blackwells battles. I would be tempted to drop Speed at the minute and bring in Hendrie for a go but I think having a leader in the middle of the park is more important so would put Monty on the bench for when it gets really ugly and leave Speed where he is.

I also think Morgs is going through one of his bad spells so would bring Ugo in.

I would also play Webber who looks hungry at the minute. They are big and ugly at the back so it might be more useful to try and go at them with a bit of pace along the floor and not get dragged into an aerial battle we aren't going to win, like against Cardiff.

My team:-

Kenny
Naysmith
Killa
Ugo
Halford
Cotts
Hendrie
Speed
Squinny
Webber
Sharp

Subs:-
Naughton
Morgs
Monty
Beattie
Keef

Get ready for possibly the worst football match this season. Lets put it this way, if we played indoors there'd be no sodding lights left on the ceiling by 5 o'clock.

1-1 draw.

0-0 draw for me, another dire boring game with 2 long ball teams.....

PROVE ME WRONG BLADES.

Watford haven't won away since feb? Bets on them winning sat must be good :D

Whens spring back?

my team:

Kenny
Halford Ugo Killa Naysmith
Geary Monty squinny hendrie
BT sharp

Subs:
Speed, Morgan, Cotts, webber, naughton

Another lost 3 points for the Blades lack of ambition, quality players and skilfull management which will cost us dear this season.

Team ? ............ we aint got one, take Killa and perhaps BT out the 1st team squad and yer left wi shite. How about playin the reserve team wi a sprinkling of youngsters from the academy ? can't be a worse performance than at Arsenic.

Who said quality not quantity ?
I know it was somebody at Wobble Gob United but can't remember who ?

Another lost 3 points

In case you've not realised it yet in your football supporting life, we have to earn 3 points every match, we don't kick off with 3 points on the board.

Any points at the end of the match are points earned.

I'd bring Ugo back in for Morgan, Naughton in for Cotts and Dyer (if he's in on time) in for Squinny.

Playin Watford at BDTBL for a team with ambition , quality players and a serious chance of promotion it should be.

Thats mi last post today......don't want the bandwith to high.

Did we read this thread gentlemen? - http://www.sheff-utd.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=133722#post133722

No match, no matter who the opposition is, should be seen as a guaranteed 3 points.

Otherwise we might as well just stop playing matches I guess?

One of the beauties of football is that results aren't guaranteed to match your opinions of either team. Anyone can beat each other, no one has the devine right to win, hence me stating that any points must be earned.

Wahey!

E I E I E I OHHHHHHH! Up the prediction league I go! (could hardly drop any further :D)

Good win.

Decent performance probably should of scored more really.

MOTM: Naughton

Top performance from him and Sharp.

Thought O'Toole was very good for them.

Think it was Daz who mentioned him before as a good target for us and I thought so too.

Today hasn't changed that.......wonder if we could get him?

:)

Good result and well needed, poor team performance though I thought, but some very good individual performances from Naughton, Killa and Sharp. Still too little in midfield and still too much of aimless long balls. Watford one of the poorest sides i've seen in a long long time, if they don't end up bottom three it will be a very poor championship.

I was surprised that few of the old Watford traits were there, they weren't pressuring players quickly, didn't have 3/4 battering rams, didn't get forward quickly... They were poor, not sure how much of that was down to us... Can only beat what is in front of you though :D

Good 3 points, not a sensational performance, but a win all the same :D

Poor game, long ball from both sides. Still as you said Foxy a win is a win. Naughton excellent, thought Squinny was pretty decent in CM.

Need to improve for Tuesday, think Donny will be a tough game.

always a scrappy game against watford. Never know us play them and play to our game.

It was never, ever going to be a good game against them, but I agree about Squinny, and Killa had a very good game too.

Did anyone else feel that Speeds effort at the end went in?

Wrong end of the ground, but I thought it was dipping in ..... oh well ......

Wednesday fans said they were terrible a couple of weeks back.

Someone on another board has said they thought it went in... I didn't have the best angle but would have said it stayed out. There were no appeals from the Blades players either way.

How many times have you posted this Foxy.......:p:p:p

I thought yesterdays performance was okay, it can still be improved- we did create pleanty of chances though

MOTM- Kyle Naughton
