We didn't look like a one-dimensional hoofball team today. That could have been four, five or six all easily. If we play like that every match then perhaps the play-offs could be attainable, with one proviso. We need to sort our defence out, because that was terrible today. Yes, Cardiff's last goal was good, but our defence was all over the place.

the bizarre penalty???
Nothing bizarre about it mate. Clearly hauled to the ground by Hendo.
i think its very harsh to blame killa and all the stuff about his heart not being in it is wide of the mark!
I think the vast majority will disagree with you on that one - standing off far too much, out of position, flat footed - he just looks a couple of seconds behind the pace which is only since that interview.
little shouldve got an extra ten minutes
NOTHING HAPPENED in the 2nd half before he got taken off! It was only when Cotterill came on that we even looked like we were up for getting back in it!
harper came good too and a great finish.
I personally thought that was the single thing he did all game. He was pathetic today, getting in people's way and telling them what to do but not actually making the runs himself. Utter waste of space today, IMO.
camara didnt look out of his depth and when his fitness comes to its peak will be a good signing.
Agree on that one, looks hungry, keen and sharp.
three great saves from marshall, two unlucky volleys from the disinterested kilgallon (!), it was a terrific game today - i cant believe people were out there getting cold feet after the game.
Agree again but I don't think that two unlucky volleys can counterweight what was an awful display of defending from the disinterested Kilgallon.

Sorry to pick on your post but there were just too many things I disagreed with. :o

It was a cracking match, which we ended up losing simply because of some appalling defending. We actually passed as well as I've seen us this season. However....

Something does need to change with the defence. Walker had a terrible game yesterday, and I think he either needs a break, or might benefit from a spell on the right wing. We were unfortunate yesterday in that (left backs aside) each of the other defenders delivered a right clanger at some point.

I thought the midfield, on the whole, did very well. Little seemed to fade quite quickly in the 2nd, but did reasonable well, and Treacy linked up really well with Taylor and then Stewart on the left. I also thought Quinny was excellent throughout.

Something also needs to change up front though. Despite what certain fans believe, Ched Evans is a good player - I have seen him do well in this league, in the Premier League, and for Wales. What he most definitely isn't, and never has been, is the type of striker to play off the big man. He hasn't the pace to run the channels and is best when he sticks in the middle. When this happens, he can be a threat, as he was in the lead up to Hendo's 2nd. Hendo and Evans as a partnership simply does not work. And given how Hendo played yesterday, I would argue he doesn't deserve to be dropped. I would ultimately like to see Evans and Ward tried as a pairing, which I do believe would work (the same way Evans and Lita did well together at Norwich), but at the minute the Hendo-Evans combo should be our last resort option, not our first choice partnership.

Disagree with you on Evans. I thought Camara gave him a lesson in movement and how to make a nuisance of yourself - albeit against tired defenders. I think Evans must be a dream to play against, no height, no real muscle and no pace. All he has got for me is a decent strike of the ball.

Daz was fantastic yesterday, deserved a couple of goals and worked his socks off. He is essential to our team if it is accepted that we are not going to suddenly turn into Ajax or Barca. There is no way that Henderson deserves to be dropped. Daz looked much better yestreday because we moved the ball around and gave him some decent balls to work with.

Henderson and Ward for me every time.
