1st - a team that if we don’t beat, we are really in the shit and I really do not understand why Hecky picked that side. Has he had too much to drink over the summer?!

Boxing Day - a team that if we don’t beat, we are really in the shit and I really do not understand why Hecky picked that side. Has he had too much to drink over Christmas?!

Last - a team that if we don’t beat, we are really in the shit next season and I really do not understand why Hecky picked that side. Has he had too much to drink again?!

We'll be at home first I reckon as tramlines is the weekend before and Hillsborough park is normally closed off for a week after it finishes to clear up so I can't see SYP allowing crowds around there while a large dispersal point is closed off.

1st match - Coventry (home)
Boxing day - Watford (away)
Last match - Preston (home)

Have to say that is a pretty unfavourable set of fixtures early on.

We’ll still be assembling the squad and will have to play relegated Watford away at a poor time for our fans, our absolute bogey team of recent years as the first home game and then another away game, this time at Boro, who will still be smarting from the 4-1 we gave them not so long ago and no doubt buoyed with the Djed Spence money. On top of that we play a terrible away league cup game at West Brom who already added Swift and Wallace to their ranks in what looks like nothing more than a first round exit right out of the gate.

It’s a long season, but it’s looking anything but a flying start especially with 3/4 games already away.

Good we are home on Boxing Day though even if the opposition is uninspiring and if we need a result I’m not overly upset that it will be against Birmingham at home.

August and April will be deciding months of the season in many ways I think.

7 games in April and over half of those are likely to be big ones.
A really tough August as well. If we come out of that decently, who knows.
