One of my earliest memories of watching the Blades. Ireland’s number one!

Cov were a very, very good Premiership side at that time and we had come through a turbulent time post-Spackman that year.

I know we've had great, iconic games - but this is up there as one of my favourite nights at Bramall Lane.

I were sat on the kop for this. I'd have been about 14. hairs on the back of my neck still stand up watching this. amazing night. Every goalkeeper shirt I had I would always have 1 Kelly on the back.

Had United been a little more adventurous at Old Trafford in the semi final I think they would have beaten Newcastle. Shearer and Speed carried that team, they were poor. We showed them far too much respect.

What a night. I was in the south stand and the three guys next to me got up and left just before the end of the 90 and then came running back in when Reg smashed that in!

Alan Kelly was a superb keeper and servant to the club.

Got goosebumps watching that. What a night! Can't believe it was 21 years ago.
Was on the South Stand and went on the pitch at the end, caught up in the moment. Picked up a divot that had been round a stud and put it in a pot when I got home. Had it for years until it died when I moved house and it got misplaced. My hallowed turf.

I was 13 at the time and have great memories of this and of Alan Kelly. I completely agree on the point about the SF and it could be applied to all subsequent appearances in big games and semi-finals with the exception of Hull.

That Friday game was 28th March, 1975 - a 2-2 draw at Highfield Road. Incredibly, one of only two games I've ever been chucked out of.

Chris Wilder, a Bradford player at the time, came to the match to cheer us on and according to Steve Thompson, Chris ran on the pitch to celebrate. Chris re-signed for us a week later

It was a decent performance and we went close to scoring a couple of times. Marcelo with a header that he couldn’t really direct properly (just tried to connect) and went inches over the bar. Quinn’s wasn’t a sitter but it was a decent chance well saved by Shay Given.

We played ok but tactically I always felt we showed them too much respect and could have tried to force the issue a little more. In the end the best striker of a generation made the difference. A mention for Gary Speed as well who was a Rolls Royce of a midfielder in those days and stood out during that game.

Such great memories, the crowd, the noise, the atmosphere, last minute equaliser, pens and the pitch invasion.

Fucking fantastic. That night is why I will never want us to forget about the FA cup just so we can focus on the league. We should always be aiming to recreate that whenever we get the chance.

One of the great night games at the lane Coventry got lucky and took an early lead. New turf had been laid in the six yard boxes and their free kick bounced on the joint to the old bit kicking up high over Kelly arms on what would have been a routine save for him. As others have said Coventry were a very good Div 1 team and we wern't so bad ourselves even if we were a division below.
I remember after the final penalty all the crowd singing always look on the bright side of life over and over and later getting on the 93 back to Woodhouse that bus was rocking.

Alan Kelly is a absolute legend for us and was a brilliant keeper
On a side note I had never watched highlights of Wembley vs filth for obvious reasons until recently then saw Alan Kelly had tweeted recently coverage of his saves that day, I remembered at the time he had a good game but bloody hell he didnt half keep us in that game for a long time

Like the current squad , he has always come across like a top bloke along with being a top player

The game in 75 was the first away game I ever went with my dad, the 97 game was the last one we attended together. Tears in my eyes and a full heart watching and remembering this.

That game is why me and my mate still to this day say "he's Katchouro'd it" if someone skies it, scary that I've been saying that for over 20 years.

John Street looks a lot bigger in this too, that wall with Co-op on it just makes it seem huge.
