Our club has done plenty of embarrassing things and made headlines for all the wrong reasons in the past 15 years, this isn’t one of them.

Some reactions on here and on social media have been pathetic, grown men acting like pansies because we have a pink away kit because they say it’ll make us look like pansies, ironic really.

I will be in a minority in saying this, but kits rarely exercise my feelings one way or another these days.

Of course there are some that I have really liked over the years (the lace up collar from 93-94 , the thick striped Wards from 98-99, and the yellow & black third strip from 14-15 probably being my favourites) but ordinarily I am a bit meh and haven't bought one for years, unless the kids fancy one.

I am more interested in what the blokes who are wearing them on the pitch do. They can strut around in bin bags for all I care, as long as they play well.

As for this kit, it's just fine, a bit different for us perhaps, but certainly not worth getting sand in the undercarriage.

Stade Francais rugby have worn pink kits for the last 15 years and I doubt many of them are pansies.

Palermo wear pink all the time (hopefully not connected to them going bust and landing in Serie D)

Once again, a predictable appearance from yesterday's man. Always one to support futile attempts to support causes that are socially embarrassing, as if this is worth his inane and foolish commentary.

I bet you love to pick on women, anyone of a darker complexion, or those whose sexuality somehow challenges your own insecure view of what it takes to be a man.

Get back in the shadows you sad specimen, perhaps one day we'll be able to discover what the point of your existence is meant to be???

The sooner sport in general gets past any lingering insecurity regarding sexual preference, or what two consenting adults choose to do the sooner we can stop having to concern ourselves with idiots like the irritating wendy addict. I really do look forward to the day SUFC sign an outwardly gay footballer, just to finally acknowledge that it's of no more relevance that whether we should sign a player of colour.

Out of the two, the away shirt is the least terrible. Not really bothered about the colour, to me it's just a bit "meh"

The home shirt is an abomination.

I loved the purple shirt, best plain shirt from any team in ages. Not bothered about this pink one, but if it does get more support from girls/women who wouldn't otherwise buy one and support us, then it would be well worth it as far as I am concerned.

Not keen on either the home or away kit myself, but they do have one redeeming feature that won't be seen on a Releg8 shirt for a while:

Nothing against pink as a colour, I own a couple of pink tops myself.
What I can't get over is the nickname that flys back and forth in this city and how anyone at United could sign this off.
If W*dnesday had unveiled a pink shirt we would have been pissing ourselves.

It's better than the home kit for me (which is too white). I like pink as a colour, I would prefer it to be more pink though, like the Everton one of recent years or the Barca one. If you're gonna go pink, go the whole hog. I worry that we will bring in a third kit and wear that instead though. Most recent away kit that I really liked was the purple one, but we almost never wore it.

FWIW I think that’s bobbar as well. Had plenty worse kits than either this season’s kits. Plenty.

Well i have had several shirts like that by accident mixing a red tee shirt with my addidas white golf shirt in wash.
In a way i like it as it is different to our usual choices. Its got to be better than Owls god awful green.
