Never been happier to see a few people fall flat on their faces with this one. And I mean those with the mantra of 'let's not sign him cos he's failed at the Lane twice before poppycock'.
Billy has never failed at Bramall Lane, end of.
He was a young lad who wasn't given a chance by Warnock in his first spell (1 game played?) and then he had a couple of total berks managing him (Nobson, and little fat twat) who couldn't manage their way to open a bag a crisps between em. They totally failed Billy (and Utd) by playing him all over the show and having him running the channels which clearly never has been his strength. He is a poacher and a damned good goalscorer who's strengths are in the box - not a channel runner or speed merchant.
He was totally mis-used at the Lane under Cackwell. Only time he's had a fair crack of the whip at the Lane he has delivered by the country mile.
When you consider that Billy''s scored loads of goals wherever hes been in his career and only initially 'failed' at sufc when he had dumb and dumber in charge at the Lane...mmhh it's a strange one isn't it....
Well done Billy. So happy the doubters have been silenced once and for all. The boy done well.
