I know that no statement has been issued yet about season tickets for next season , and I am aware that if and when the new season does start that it will almost certainly be without supporters , possibly even until next year . But my question is , who would still renew in spite of this knowing that they would be paying for a lot of games that they wouldn't see . I would personally, because firstly I would not want to loose my ticket , or deprive the club of the much needed revenue at this time.

I’ve just given my view on the thread about refunds for this season where I said I wouldn’t pursue the club for my money back on the remainder.

That’s one thing but would I fork out for a season ticket for next season when I wouldn’t know whether I’d even be able to attend a single game? Quite definitely no. There’s loyalty and then there’s stupidity.

To be honest I’m not even sure the club would put season tickets on sale unless they were certain that fans would be able to watch

It would totally depend on the circumstances. If the club sold ST's on the basis if the season would be played behind closed doors but you obviously kept your seat by renewing then any money would just be taken off when crowds are allowed back then I'd go for it.

We've got prime seats that me and the boy have had for donkeys years and in no way shape or form would I be prepared to give them up even if it meant I was paying for a hypothetical attendance so long as the money was redeemed at some point in the future.

They better hurry up before my bank account is zero. If 50% of next season is behind closed doors just give ST holders a relative discount for the following season.

A safer decision may be to sell half season tickets from Nov/Dec but again only if they were certain by turn that people could attend.

Upton- surely you wouldn’t have to give your seat up because there would be nobody to take your place. The seat would remain yours until the time that season tickets could be put back on sale.

All ifs buts and maybes

They can’t sell any tickets, season or otherwise, until they definitely know when fans can attend games.

The club aren’t just going to sell season tickets for next season as though none of this is happening.

Some form of season ticket will no doubt be on sale when they have a proper idea of when fans can return and will be priced accordingly.

I’d stump up without any hesitation to ensure we retained our seats. Regardless of crowd restrictions it will be money in the bank towards ticket charges as and when not if crowds are allowed back.

Wrong site fella.

Clubs happy to rip their fans off about 3 miles due NE !!!

Personally I think all current season ticket holders would keep their current seat and S/T membership until a decision is made as to when fans can attend again, so you would still get 1st choice when renewing is available.
So basically they will use the remaining value of your season ticket (pro-rata of the 4 home games remaining) as a sort of retainer until the season is complete.
The club could then offer the pro-rata value of the remaining 4 games as a discount off of next seasons S/T or even add a small percentage more value to the discount as a thank you of leaving the money with the club.
Otherwise, If you want your retainer back when the season is complete, you get it back but without the discount offer to renew.

Personally, I'm lucky to be able to leave my money where it is and I'm happy to do that, but obviously at this time and in the current situation there may be quite a few others that need the £80(ish ).
I'm sure the club will do their best either way.

I missed out on a season ticket for this current season. If I get the opportunity to buy one for next season then I will.
