I think Gary has had no luck so far - we have often been the best team and not come away with the points. Todays was more vital so glad the luck went our way - we did deserve it though. I think palace are too good to go down not the worse team we have played by a mile.

Just seen Boggy's red on TV. I really don't think it's worth appealing. He ran his studs down the guy's leg. Not clever.

Weird because it looked like he won the ball from the South Stand.

As for Palace. They are a good footballing side but need to strengthen at chrimbo or they will go down. They shoot themselves in the foot even more than we do.

Pleased for Speed tonight. I like his approach and want to see him build his own team.

If we'd got any proper money,I'd go to Palace and snap up Neil Danns,as I thought he ran the show for them tonight.Clyne also impressed me as well.

And although his distribution let him down a couple of times,I thought Leon "Battler" Britton put in more than a half decent shift tonight.

Referee though....jesus h christ. He was fucking dire.I wouldn't give him pitch 18 in Concord....

I think if somebody said, 'what is it like supporting Sheff Utd?' Then last night's performance could have summed up that question perfectly - controversial referees, near chances and making hard-work of a seemingly positive situation is what being a Blade is all about!

Great effort from the lads and never gave up - but a really odd game.
Low on quality because of the low confidence but there are signs that it is building up.
Three match unbeaten run and with a little luck at Leicester it would have been 3 wins in 3.
Cpuld see why Boggy got his marching but a yellow would have sufficed.
Both penalties were excellently taken.
About time some of our luck has turned.
Still worried about the poor defending and the lack of pace when we break (compare ours to palace)
Reid offers a level of class the others cannot seem to touch (bar Yeates)

Have to say that, overall, Ched did reasonably well. Some good link play and put in a much better shift.
His goal was offside though.

Some real signs of improvement I thought. We had a real go at them in the second half and managed to create some chances which is unusual for us against a side with ten men as we always seem to struggle when the opposition lose a man. Very pleased we've managed back to back wins finally and we must look to keep improving.

Ched put in as good a performance as ive seen from him. He was busy and consistently tried to get on the end of flicks ons, rebounds etc. He deserved his goal and as for offside I'm not so sure. He was level with Bartley's leg when he headed the ball so its a tight call in my view. Certainly not as clear cut as the commentator made out. Apart from that I thought Britton had a good game in midfield as well.

We played exactly the right way once we had the extra man in pushing the full backs forward (even though they are very average players). Blades teams of old (pre Speed) would've just lumped the ball forward into the box in the hope that something would happen, wheras we tried to keep the ball and make Palace work and eventually wear them out. Let's continue to be linked with / sign real footballers (that can play the right way) and I'll be a happy man as progress will be made.

It was a good game with plenty of talking points and i thought we deserved the win without doubt and it was great for a little bit of luck to come our way ! We played good football and got some reward for it with all chances we were creating.
