Well after reading that I have just picked myself up off the floor and I still have tears in my eyes from laughing. This won't happen, we have more chance of unveiling Lord Lucan than pulling this one off.

Apparently, Lord Lucan has just finished putting dubbin on his boots and nailed some new studs in.

I'd say start a new thread because it's a new rumour, but on second thoughts don't. What utter, utter bullshit this is...

Sheffield United linked with a shock move for Chelsea young star

POSTED BY: ADMIN AUGUST 15, 2016

Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford is being linked with a loan move to Sheffield United.

Bamford had a loan spell at Derby County in 2014 when he scored eight goals in 23 games as the Rams reached the Championship play-off final.

The 22-year-old has two years to run on his Chelsea contract but he has yet to make his senior debut for them.

Bamford has also had loan spells at Norwich City, Crystal Palace, Middlesbrough and MK Dons.

He has shown he can score goals in the Championship having hit 19 in 44 appearances for Middlesbrough in 2014-15 when Boro reached the play-off final.

Unsubstantiated, random bullshit written by someone who has no idea what they're talking about.

Patrick Bamford FFS! The guy who's going to Villa...

Clickbait wankers.

It does make me laugh sometimes about how elongated SUFC can make transfers drag on. Yes there will alwaya be a few complex deals where especially in this day and age with agents but tbh Utd do seem to take an eternity to wrap up transfer deals and have done for ages. I was reading about the latest piglet to grunt into swine cottage today (Jones). Apparently he heard a message on his answer machine about the pigs interest and an offer accepted from his club, drove over to dumpsville and discussed terms. Agreed them and had a medical before signing a deal...all before he had had his mid morning cuppa. Seems to me that these deals are as difficult as one of the parties want to make them and they arent always the selling club or the player playing hard ball. Utd being cheap...never. Just get the fuk on with it Utd and if you genuinely want to improve the team, do so. Its bordering on taking the fans for a piss take at times.

With United it's more complex Wilder and Adkins before him have said a 'lot of things need to happen to get these things over the line'

The example you use shows otherwise.

No surprise it takes so long to sign a player as there is always a long lineup at the local bargain basement shop to buy crap.

I'm confused about the people who run our club.

They go to the championship and try and sign a player who is on the bench. They fanny about for a while persuading that club to loan the player and then act shocked when they want us to cover their wages. It's not rocket science. Why on earth would a club loan out their replacement keeper and then only want us to cover a percentage of his wage. Beggars belief.

Unless you know different mate, we don't know what the club asks for over this and to be honest we've paid silly money for average players in recent seasons and now Wilder's signing players who want to play for us for the football club, as opposed to it been a decent pay day, above what they're worth in most cases. It will mean we miss out on some, but Fleck and Duffy are high profile arrivals for this division and they show me that he club have got their policy right.

My point was specifically related to the Lee Grant farce, if the stories about £9k are true. It's pretty obvious that these kind of players will be on money we can't match so why bother?

Did CW actually say "we nearly signed two players",as if it was some kind of achievement?
