Pity the EGM when the de-listing was on the agenda wasn't as accomodating !

There's also little point in telling us all what needs to be done at Sheffield UNited becasue we can't do much if anything about it. Why not tell the men in charge? After all, they might just listen. Then you can have a free poo. Use lots of bog roll. Hell, take some home as a souvenir of your trip to near Bramall Lane, but not actually in it.

Len, if you're not going fine, but then don't come on here and moan about it if you don't plan to do anything about it. Learn to reply yes or no to questions too, it's one of the main reasons you cause friction. Politicians don't say yes or no, and they aren't particularly liked either!

You'd gain a lot more respect for your points if you answered a straight question with a straight answer and didn't always use hindsight to back up points.

Also, noticed you came back directly after a defeat, how original and predictable. Sod off to Swillsboro if all you're going to do is bad mouth the club that most on here LIKE to support!

Soton, we've been down this road before and this is what will happen.
Posters don't like challenging issues, their brains hurt and consequently they get grumpy at the person raising the issue and not the issue itself.
Symptoms will nearly always include demands for yes or no answers, the odd tantrum or two until a few days, weeks or sometimes months later the actualite dawns on them and the penny drops.
In this case, I've said three or four times at least that I'm not setting foot in the Copthorne - for the agm or anything else - for the reasons stated.
Those reasons are clear, unambiguous and straightforward.
If other fans want to prove to themselves, desperately, why holding the agm at a hotel we built and flogged to McCabe for a £1 is a cuddly move by McCabe, they're totally free to knock themselves out.

If your not willing to go then Len stop trying to get others to do your dirty work.

This is the perfect chance for you to raise your issues and place all your cards on the table, and if you were so bothered as you keep claiming, you wouldn't refuse to go no matter the half cocked reason above. Boycotting the AGM's will never sort any of your issues out with the club or the board.

Got my accounts and voting today. Would any one object if I don't go for two reasons? 1) going to Lapland with kids on that day. 2) I could just not be bothered as my 100 shares mean I effectively have no voice

Out of interest lenners - how many shares have you got? If it's just the one it's one more than me, by the way. I'm not expecting you to have shedloads, I am just wondering.

I sold all my shares the Friday before the Wigan game. I bottled it and still blame myself for our relegation. Still, on the plus side I bought a big bloody Samsung TV and an Xbox 360.

My only foray into buying/selling shares resulted in me selling shares for 3x the price I bought them for. Which, I'm sure you'll agree, makes me a financial genius. So if anybody has a job going in the City that pays over £10,000,000 per year I'll show you how it's done! :D

This is getting incredibly tedious guys I must admit, Lenners isn't going to the AGM, so fucking what?

Because lenningley is more than happy to tell everybody in the whole wide world exactly how Sheffield United have got into the position they are currently in and exactly how the Sheffield United board have got things wrong and exactly how they should be doing it. Well, when I say everybody in the whole wide world I actually mean everybody in the whole wide world except the board of Sheffield United.

He's quite content to tell everybody except the people who can do anything about it, and prefers to let them know how he feels by demonstrating with his silence.

Which shows he's getting the whole "who he is and isn't telling" bit totally arse backwards.

Can see how that's frustrating, and I do wholeheartedly agree that if you have such burning issues, you should make them known to the right people given a chance, but it is still ridiculous to then bite every single time he says owt about it!

It's not so much of a "bite" rather than "there's fuck all on telly and I'm bored".:D

Serious question - will McCabe be at the AGM?

He's just a mere shareholder now aint he? I assume he won't have to face any questions if he so chooses?

I'd imagine he'd have to resign at the AGM - that's the usual form. He'd be there as Chairman at the start of the meeting, but as a shareholder at the end. As he's announced his resignation in the report then I doubt he'd be looking to answer too many taxing questions. It depends how formal the agenda, and how archaic the club constitution is - but I've often seen a ridiculous re-shuffling of seats mid meeting to account for changes in office.

And if McCabe and Birch are both at the meeting can we just ask closed questions meaning only a yes or no answer :)

I lost track on this post after the argument about it being in the hotel. They could hold it at Hillsborough if people go with the correct intentions to give answers

Shuffling seats on the Titanic, at least the Captain went down with it though.

What's the format for asking questions? Open session at the end of formalities?

Is he resigning as chairman of the plc?

Is he resigning so he can say ...........................Its not me ?

Is he resigning as chairman of the plc?

The AGM is for the PLC and he is standing to reappointed as a director of the PLC. The football club is just a cosy cabal where the directors are chosen by the directors of the PLC as only the PLC has any shareholders of which St Kev is the largest by far and is the effective owner. New chairman Steer is not a director of the PLC the Football Club chairman is a PR role just like the one carried out by Dooley. The Football Club does not have any income or expenditure all this is carried out under the PLC for which the accounts have been published.

One may wish to deduce this this a smoke and mirror moves by St Kev to deflect any of the brown stuff away from himself but I couldn't possibly comment. However way you cut it he will control all the major decisions taken as the owner of SUFC PLC he controls the purse strings.

I wonder if we've had to pay McCabe's hotel for the privilege.
Perfectly apt moving of location. Very eloquent expression of what McCabe has done to United and where his priorities now lie.
Shareholders should boycott the AGM unless it's moved back to our club.

"McCabe also responded to an accusation of the AGM being held at the hotel being a conflict of interest. He said that SUFC were not paying the hotel for the holding of the AGM. It was pointed out that it was a match day which is why the suites in the stands weren't used."

Good old Lenners - wrong again!

De quelle surfuckingprise.:D

Well to be fair if Mccabe owns Scarborough and Scarborough own the Hotel and Scarborough owns SUFC basically Mccabe held his own AGM in his own house wheres the problem.
