Very hard to predict an outcome in this one. United desperately need a win but with the way things are shaping up I cant see it. Burnley are a well rounded team with some decent individual players. A bogey team for us in recent times.

As for the team, assuming that Speed sticks with 4-3-3 I would go:-

Calve Morgan Nosworthy Jordan
Britton
Ertl Quinn
Yeates Bogdanovic Cresswell​

If we set up in this shape I think it will naturally interchange to 4-4-2 as it did against Watford for short spells. We'll need three in the middle of the park to combat a better midfield than ours. I think they play with three in the middle as well from memory.....unless Laws has changed the Coyle system but I wouldnt really know.

I would be happy to get anything out of this considering their fire power and our lack of goals.

I expect more negative tactics, few clear cut chances and some more costly defending. I can see Burnley nicking a goal and then sitting back and winning comfortably. I have little confidence in our defence and can see them scoring. Once the opposition score it is game over as we fail to break them down. Laws will have done his homework, he'll be saying shoot from distance (Simmo dodgy every other game), put pressure on Nosworthy, run at the full backs. then once they score, keep it tight. mar Britton and they have noone else who can create.

My prediction: Blades 0 - 2 Burnley

I doubt Speed will do this though. With Burnley looking dangerous and us being powder puffs, I exect more us to try to play safe. I would have hoped that Speed might have learnt from KB's mistakes, but it appears not. Gone are the days of rock solid defending (with naughton, Killa, Morgs and Naysmith) winning games for us, despite us playing negative. Get out there and attack from the 1st minute. Go for it ffs.

Just another identikit Championship fixture. For me watching Britton is the reason to be there. We've not had a footballer of that ilk for so long it's a joy in its own small way.

9 actually. I predicted wins against Scunny, Watford and Preston.

I'll put us down for a win, I can see us getting up for this and if we get Morgs back in, the others will be well rested and I imagine that we'll have a few that are up for it. Perhaps in the international break we'll have worked on set pieces.

Winning means us scoring more than them. I just can't see that happening. Even if we score (far from guaranteed) I can't see us not conceding. In my book we'll snatch a point at the very best.

Score Prediction for Satdi vs Burnley

Given that Ted Danson believes we are going to stuff FOUR goals past Burnley this weekend I wondered what the rest of you lot thought.

I think we will manage a goal this weekend (hooray!) but I also think that Burnely will get 2, possibly 3 in reply.

He played well as it turned out.

But I did wonder why Quinny didn't take the freekicks on the edge of the box. He has form beating Jensen from there and the fat lad's slow footwork requires canny set-pieces, not blast-and-hope.

He isn't a bad keeper. He just has problems (like Shilton did in his later days) getting down to anything low.
No coincidence for me that we scored with three low shots (a couple not that far away from him).
