Here's the match thread for Tuesday night.

Anyone else gonna be in the Black Horse before hand?

I'll be there, not sure if I'll be at the pub or not but I'll try.

Alot of people I know seemed to forget we had this before the derby...

You sorted for getting there?, going on the coach?

Can't make this one, will be at work so wouldn't make it in time. Will be listening online though so make sure you are noisey again.

Anyone know of a good car park near the ground?

I went to Cov a few years ago and remember it being a nigthmare

Thanks

I've always parked in there too and will be tomorrow :)

Early team news.......

Sheffield United set to be unchanged v Conventry. Ched Evans likely to be on the bench.
Kevin Blackwell has no new injury or suspension problems.

:)

According to website, only a handful of single tickets remain and if that's based on the full allocation of 5000 then a good following should be in attendance.

There's no way we'll take that many. My guess is around a thousand.

Sheffield United, formed in 1889. Their home, Bramall Lane, is said to be the oldest major ground in the world and the club enjoyed their heyday in the 30-year period between 1895-1925, during which time they were champions of England and four times FA Cup winners. All I’ll say is, that’s 84 long years since they won a trophy.

Now be fair, they have had some good players...

Ah yes, Alan Hodgkinson, Tony Currie, Micky Adams, and, er, Paddy Kenny.

Paddy Kenny? The goalkeeper who ate all the pies?

Don’t take the mickey. The Blades goalkeeper has been the club’s No.1 for years and nearly always has a good game against the Sky Blues.

Ah, but he won’t this year will he?

You had to bring it up didn’t you? No he won’t be available for tonight’s match after being banned earlier this month for nine months after failing a drugs test.

It’s not the first time he’s been in trouble is it?

Well, no. He once had an eyebrow bitten off following a drunken brawl outside a curry house.

They’re pretty hard in Sheffield then. Is that reflected in their tactics?

In a word, yes. Their captain is 31-year-old centre-back Chris Morgan (right), who has the dubious honour of being the most dismissed player in the club’s history, having been sent off six times.

Do the fans like him?

They love him. He’s a man’s man and a natural-born killer, sorry, winner. The supporters’ unofficial anthem is ‘The Greasy Chip Butty Song,’ which is sung before each half and after the game if the team has played well.

Any celebrity fans to look out for?

A mixed bag, really. Actor Sean Bean, Arctic Monkeys lead singer Alex Turner, sports minister Richard Caborn and, er, Argentina international Juan Sebastian Veron, who dreamed of playing for the Blades as a boy when his uncle, Pedro Verde, played for them. Sheffield is also home to a host of pop groups, including Heaven 17, ABC and The Human League.

Ah, the 80s – great for music...

Fans least likely to say: “I was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar when I met you.” Most likely to say: “Are you Wednesday in disguise?”

Am I the only one to spot this, or just the only one sad enough to think it merits a mention?

I just hope Walker's tendency this season to get caught the wrong side of his man doesn't cost us dear tonight.
