Not really positives from this, apart from Wes. Palace weren’t great but should have won by more. Hard to see where points are going to come from.

Comfortable in the end for Palace. Anything at Forest is a bonus. I think our season starts on the 2nd September at Everton.

Decent effort but far from good enough. The match was over when they scores, especially since Hecky opted to keep the score down instead of going for a point.

Good effort Blades.

Based on that, we aren't a million miles off, just need some attacking thrust.

We need Hamer, a link player and an experienced striker back in the team.

Even harder to see where the goals are going to come from. Zero cutting edge.
We might spin a couple 0-0.
Could we be the first team to go all season without a goal?

No surprises there. Nothing that we didn't see coming pre kick off or after the teams were announced. My worry is how long he keeps picking this dog shit line up until the new players are ready. That starting line up was shockingly woeful.

Felt like a fa cup 3rd round tie where a non league is at home to a average premier league side. Absolutely woeful midfield in terms of creating other than a few Norwood balls so Osula did well to look as lively as he did.

Palace might be in a relegation battle too. Unless we reinforce we won't be. We'll be busy playing teenagers and planning for next season in the championship by February

Wes did well other than the flap that led to the first offside goal

Given the squad available, nothing wrong with the effort. Shows the players can work collectively and with discipline, despite the upheaval. But not sure Palace were out of second gear.

About the best that could be hoped for

You’d expect none of the attack or midfield to be starters once we get to september (maybe Norwood.)

2nd or 3rd choices all over the front 5.

Well done United tried hard left everything out there. The blame for today rests squarely in the boardroom
100% this. Basically forfeited the game by not being prepared.

Have to sign 3/4 players that are ready to go straight into the team and we need them asap.

On top of that we’ve taken a couple of knocks today. Not a great look right now

Wes was fantastic. Made a couple of great saves, and nearly gave a goal assist.

Result was about fair.

Hoping hecky & SM can now have a few good sessions with new guys to get them up to speed and sort team formation (today was make do with odds and ends available).
I`m sure we will be fine. Still plenty to come from our new signings. Looking forwrd to seeing Gustavo get at them.

We’re very obviously short and you’re right if Baldock’s injury is anything more than cramp we’re in the brown stuff at rightback it’ll either be Basham or one of the kids

Ah well, we are above Burnley for the first time in ages 🤣

Ref totally bent.
Osula was my man of the match.
Osborne was very obviously the weak link.
Bash was superb. Number of blocks and even tried a 720 twist moments before coming off, which didn't quite work, but it didn't do any harm.
Traore thinks he is faster than he actually is. Looked like a headless chicken to me for most of the match.
