quoat from pigstalk

I dont miss hardly any away games but i am not going to this years derby.
its not about being scared personally.i can look after myself ,but a stand needs making.
the game is a tragedy waiting to happen and sod laws says that a child or a woman or an old person are at the best going to get seriously injured.
god forbid the above happening, but that is why we have to make a stand against this disgraceful decision.

yeah, because i bit of piss melts the skin like acid through eyeballs

And what about the events that happened outside last year?

Get your head out of your arse and use your brain.

fuck off you cunt, whats events outside the ground got to do with what goes on inside it, if people want to cause trouble out side the ground they will, thats the polices problem, not uniteds

Where I can agree with what happens outside the ground is the Police's problem.

Yet, you need to calm down. When anyone disagrees with you you swear at them and throw out insults.

hes come on here, sporting a united badge tarnished with a pig, and hes telling me to get my head out of my arse, what does he expect

Just a polite reminder gentlemen to remain civil :)

I might as well bleeding talk to myself.

Infractions handed out where due... and some people are on their final one before a week long ban.

The rules you all signed up to state that personal abuse will not be tolerated, regardless of what team you support.

Are we all clear?

You really need to calm down mate, DJ has been around here along time, and he and many of the longer term members know the score.

And as for you DJ, i would have thought you would have known better than to poke an angry animal with a big stick!! ;)

Great ambassador, you are. Ignoring the insults, it is a problem that the police need to deal with if it's outside the ground, but again it's something SUFC could assist with with a bit of better planning. Blades and Owls queuing up along side eachother when only one turnstile is open. That's not particularly well planned in my book.

No, not at all. Having the away fans in the ground is part and parcel of the fun of the match. However, why should they be able to dictate to us how many tickets they have? Regardless of how many tickets they give us, it's OUR ground, not theirs, and they get what they're given.

There are two separate issues in this thread. The first - whether they should be given more tickets - is perhaps more subjective than the second, which is whether it is acceptable to throw anything at all, not just urine, at away fans.

I still think that if they want to send their allocation back, call their bluff. Let them do it. More tickets for us then. It'll serve them right for throwing their toys out of the pram.

Also, in response to the bit about it being overblown; I'm not saying that any individual who got hit by a piss rocket is overblowing it. As I've stated before, that's indefensible. However, the majority of fans did not get hit by urine, and I'm sure that many of them who are moaning about the allocation and using the pisslobbing as an argument are only doing so to bolster their claim that they should have more tickets.

Fair enough, and well put fella.

So its o.k to have pissed chucked at you at a gig cos you don't tend to notice it, but at a football match its a different matter? HOW? chucking piss is chucking piss. its nasty and people can catch aids. But hey, you dont feel it in a mosh pit so no complaints!

You didn't say that though, did you mate? The obvious inference from what you actually posted was the they should expect to be spat on ..... I'm glad we agree that that's not on. There are actually surprisingly few bottles of ..... whatever ..... lobbed at major gigs, and certainly the indoor ones. It just looks like there are more, and they also tend not to go too far. Summary punishments have been known as a result (not from me).

What I meant was that you don't notice, and as you'll also know from mosh pits (I can tell you about some serious mosh pits in the late 80's/early 90's) you're continually sprayed with a fine mist of water anyway at major outside gigs.

However, when a bucketload of the stuff is sent down, it's a different matter. As disgusting, but still different.

And what about the events that happened outside last year?

Same happened outside Hellsbore, old bean.

Now it might be me, but when we only had three stands, that was par for the course, and for at least one of those seasons, the upper tier was used for away fans. Granted, we never played Day Before Thursday competitively at that point, but we did effectively have the same sort of potential hassle as happens at their away end with us (as regards proximity of queues) in League matches against others with a large following.

some on about boycotting, well im sorry but who the fuck do they think they are?

when the likes of man utd go to liverpool, man city etc.. only get 3000 tickets

i dont care who you are, if a club can sell the tickets to the home support it should, man utd only got 3000 when they came to the lane, they didnt go off on one.

fucking arrogant wankers

well said, we only get more at pigsty cos we can fill a stadium unlike them pricks... there here, there their, there every fuckin were EMPTY SEATS EMPTY SEATS!!!!!!!:D

Yeah HH i probably didnt elaborate enough :D my bad...!

Another point....

Why does DJ always pop up around the time we play them or something is going off at the lane and everytime trouble starts? Has he a black cloud over him? :D

Sorry mate :D

I am always around though :dj:

Tickets ordered. Is anyone an Adult member here and has purchased tickets recently? On the website it says..

"Benefits included are:
£2 discount on home league match tickets in every area of the ground apart from the Westfield Corner where an increased £3 discount is available. Discount available for Category A*, A and B fixtures."

Now that would make a ticket on the Kop for the pig game £23 and yet they've charged me £24. Hardly worth buying membership if it's gone down to £1.

Far from confident. Regret to say I don't think Blackie has it in him to motivate like a certain predecessor did

...No! Not Nobson

Maybe a good dose of pessimism is what we need before the derby game. Remember loads of over confidence last season?

Even if they tonk us they is still one glimmer of hope to be had.
We are Blades, and not dirty piggies from S6.

I hope the blades trounce them after the farce over the last month with transfers.
A good win could renew confidence all round and give us something to build on.

But in truth I’m scared sh*t less that a bad result could have the opposite affect

The plan...

Water that bastard pitch and get the match called off.

Get a loan player in on Saturday when the window opens... or convince Deane and Agana to come out of retirement.

Sorted :D

Water that bastard pitch and get the match called off.

Or call the match off due to health and safety reasons... not sure who thought of that one originally... oh and just before the last Derby as well...

So, the next game.

Are you confident?

I am never truly confident going into a derby, I'd imagine that's the same on your part?

Still, tonight's roller coaster could have been exactly what we needed before Saturday... Hope your boys were listening to added time :D
