The question begs, what are we spending the moneh on so soon that it needs a loan? I imagine our signings are paid for in instalments too, so that wouldn’t seem to require all the loan money up front.

I hope it’s not to cover club running costs whilst the owners bicker. :)

Does this mean we're spending 7 million in January or does it mean we've got a black hole in the finances that needs filling?

We always have had a black hole, generally filled by emptying the owners pockets.

I thought the black hole was being caused by the owners (specifically McCabe) filling their pockets, not the other way around?

Is the loan we took out for the last JTW settled?

If we'd demanded the Brooks money up front (and surely Bournemouth could afford it) there'd be no need for a loan

I would imagine this is fairly standard practice from football clubs with transfer deals such as this.

Rather than wait for the instalments, we have the money available now in the form of a loan to be used.

Don’t really see why it’s a cause for concern?

Seems quite sensible to me but then again, I'm terrible with money.

Our accounts are the complimentary bread while you're waiting though I imagine, other clubs are the main course.

Interested to see some of the P&S troublers.

This is not new. Utd and other clubs do it on a regular basis

I presume from what I've read that we received a £4m up front payment from Bournemouth and the balance we've borrowed against the remainder of the fee

Not sure it's that standard practice and I think our popping to the Bank of Essex began when the owners fell out.
It's probably in place of the owners themselves actually fronting up.
