Compare Brewster to Moose at the moment and you have one injured PL looking player and one fit player who looks more like a League 2 striker lost in the PL.
At least Mousset tried to create stuff himself.

Would have preferred Sharp.

Brewster doesnt look hungry at all.
One PL looking injured player & one PL player who looks injured!!

Edwards scored 7 games on the trot when he started in the top flight at 17. If you aint ready at 20 when are you ready?
Why pay so much for a player that isn't ready??
Good a sensible question (serious).
Everybody develops at different ages. (See Vardy).
Edwards would not score those goals now, the top tier is a totally different landscape.
The £20m+ we paid for Brewster is the going rate for a top Championship striker.

Have to say starting him in these 3 games was the wrong decison, he doesn't really offer much bar goals and we need either Burke or Mcburnie to start against the bigger teams so we can get up the field. I thought Berge and Mcburnie would be busts and they both proved me wrong however

You have to have the desire. Watch Vardy in a match, even when he's having a poor game hes none stop making runs down channels, in behind and pressing the oppo when they have the ball.

Brewster so far hasn't done any of those things. Its early days and he will improve but desire is inbuilt, it isn't created. Its telling that a 30+yr old McG covered way more ground than he did. At present he has the look of a player who thinks he's already made it.

Get him in the 23s. Assuming he would get in. Development player as things stand. Expensive one !!

It’s time for BillGoldrick 👍😀.

UTB

He may be worth it for a club who dominates possession and creates chances around the box. We are neither of those

I do think he's been handled badly by chucking him in for his first 3 starts in the top flight against the best 3 teams in the league. In games he was always going to see little of the ball. Bad management and clearly the wrong choice.

I really wasn’t impressed with his reaction when he got bought off today.

Perhaps he thought strolling around the pitch doing the square route of fuck all was enough to justify him lasting the full 90 minutes.

Beginning to look like Ken Furphy's signing of Chris Guthrie

Maybe frustrated that it's not currently working out for him but there is still time for him to start scoring.

Eddie Howe?
I might have proffered Graham Potter if we wanted to go down the same unacceptable UK players only it’s how we like it attitude of Wilder.

However, I feel we are at a cross road. Do we

1. Want to stay a battling English speaking little ol SUFC

or

2. Develop into a multi national PL force?

My guess is the Prince will go route 2 if he can get an investor to take on some concerning assets on the player front.

And to rub it in Brooks scores twice at Brum today - a player that can create and score. We really missed out on his services, be it signing or loan!

Could have bought me for that and I’d have done as much as him tonight.

At the point when he was taken off he had less touches than any Blades player - and that includes Rambo - in the words of Victor Meldrew 'I don't believe it!'
We've been mugged

Was he worth it, cos he's shown nothing so far.
Looks disinterested, doesn't make runs, no pace, doesn't tackle well, etc etc etc.
I know it's early days, but can't even see a spark in him??

Massive payday for him when he signed for us and knows we'll need to sell him if we go down. It's a win/ win for him.
