"All the Bolton fans I know"

Do you live in Bolton because I doubt many on here know one Bolton fan. Not having a dig, just interested.

Yes, BL7 postcode, so plenty :-)

Not at all relevant, but the current Bolton manager lives in the same village and plays for the same taverners' cricket team. He isn't one who thinks they'll drop straight through by the way, but nor does he expect to be manger for more than another week.

Certainly a more difficult league to get out of next season.

I can see Charlton doing what they did last time and going straight back up. After that it's a lottery.

Coach.

I seem to recall we did sing something like you'll never walk alone but it's not our anthem so I recall the long, long rendition of "Shefield United"

Beardy.
Yes - he allus used to play well against us.
Can picture him but can't name him.
yes it was the 'chopped' version we used to sing. not the Liverpool/Dortmund one.. we were at the back so got out quick and ran for the football special. the b*stard set off early and there were loads of folk running down the platform after the train :)
was it Nigel Batch??

Yep Nigel Batch

Glenn Cockerill is from Grimsby but has never played for Grimsby Town. He was at Lincoln before moving to Swindon in 1979 and then back to Lincoln in 1981. Mike Brolly and Joe Waters were midfielders for Grimsby in 1979-80
:)
I've stopped thinking cos I can rely on Silent as some form of immense memory stick, instead.

Of course "no neck" was at Lincoln.

The match he bossed was an FA Cup game where we lost 3-0 at their place in the 80s despite us being in a division higher. Remember that (?) as it was he day I found out I had Glandular Fever and it put me out of playing football for a year.

The 3-0 defeat at Lincoln was a midweek league game in Sept 1982. I was there and I remember the fighting at half time

Ha!
Wrong ;)

10th December 1983
FA Cup game
Finished 0-0 at their place
We won the replay 1-0

:)

Nah - as usual - you are correct ;)

I too was at the 3-0 game the year before and that was the only time I left a game early (20 mins to go) we were absolutely garbage.

See. I can recall everything

...... Wibble

John Fashanu was playing for Lincoln in that Cup replay. Our winner was scored by Stancliffe who headed in the far post after Gary West flicked a corner in the near post

Charlton are a basket case of a club. I don't expect them to challenge at all next season.
