Just had a nice call from the box office as I emailed them my renewal yesterday and I had the wrong price for my kids, as were in the Family Stand their season tickets cost £31 not £45 so they were phoning me to confirm this was ok..

So for 1 adult & 3 kids that a total of £481 or just under £21 a match, yes the football at times has been hard work but for me it's the chance to meet up with friends in the pub for a couple of pints and for our kids to have a laugh together as a group that makes the day worthwhile and will be for many more..

You can email them your renewal?? And to think I was going to post it 2nd class like a fucking caveman.

Cheers, pal.

Let's hope we go down next year and the club might knock another 10% off, eh?

I'm being a little harsh but I do think lowering prices whilst continuing to show absolutely no drive or ambition as a club is not the way forward.

I'm not looking for a cheap day out. I want a winning team that plays with pride and passion - and one that spends its time in the top half of the Championship as a minimum.

If prices had been frozen or raised, many would no longer be able to justify paying it, in light of the shit we've been rewarded with. Even with this decrease it's still far from a cheap day out. It's a fair recognition of peoples loyalty.
The supporters should always be the first consideration, before anything. Success counts for nothing if they are priced out.

I totally agree fans should not be priced out. But we weren't being priced out before the reduction - as the near 20,000 average attendance for the shite served up by McCabe and Adkins proves.

The club has many problems - but our prices weren't one of them.

You want another decrease if we stay in this division next year ?

Going on McCabes track record, he will be paying us in 5 years .......................................

No, but if the alternative was paying through the nose for crap football, the revenue would be no better and it would be a slap in the face to all those who have backed the club faithfully when the club has done little else than test that faith to the limit.

I think those "limits" continue to be surpassed with every passing season!!

I agree, the pricing overall wasn't bad before, but for the past 5 years the club had been able to charge what they did on the promise of a promotion push. As long as we continue to fail in that objective, attendances will take a knock.
It's taken a price decrease to keep people coming in and provide that revenue.

I've not had anything from the club yet Re:renewals.....Boooooo, sack the board!!!!

Spare a thought for the Barnsley fans having to send off their renewals via carrier pidgeon.
Given they've yet to discover the wheel & they think the Internal Combustion Engine is the work of Magical Goblins then the Pidgeon is their only option bless 'em.

I havn't recived mine either

But I have heard it is on Pinstripe Paper

It's commemorative paper, celebrating the first time United sent out begging renewal letters after we failed to get elected to the First Division I'll have you know.

Never heard anything so ridiculous in all my time. They are actually walking barefooted (in 80's shell suits) from the outlying villages of Grimethorpe, Cudworth and Shafton to exchange their tickets for fresh buckets of coal to keep that power the floodlights during night games.

You do of course realise that the 10% reduction in the price of next seasons ST, can be loosely translated into "Pathway for the youngsters"

Wilderness years - be prepared for.

Carrier pigeon! That is an upgrade on last season, where it was still a local by-law in Barnsley that your wife or elderly relative had to give you a piggy back to the ground to renew your season ticket, except on Sundays and Bank Holidays
