On tonight's form he should start most matches!

Cahill and Beattie were great too!

:)

couldn't come to the match tonight cos couldn't miss another night at shitty college.....but i've been impressed with webber for most of the season.

Agreed, I think Webbers looked like one of the players that has been willing to chase the ball and give 100%. not been tonight because of work but sounds like he had a good game:)

He was excellent for me tonight, big improvement.

Webber was a candidate for MOTM, but I bet the buffoon sat a few seats away from me couldn't see it.His latest pearls of wisdom - "Webber's a lazy get" and "What does Beattie do apart from score and get back to defend set pieces?" The bloke is a top-drawer twat.

Rent-a-gob for hire :D

I'm good at causing arguments and making people not come back to sit near me... if you require my services, just drop me a PM ;)

For me Cahill was superb, I thought all the others had a good solid game with the exception of kilgallon, what was he thinking of when allowing them to score. Webber did indeed show some good stuff and how he deserved that shot in the first half to go in not vere of the post into touch.

Had a great game today lets hope his form continues.

I agree with everything that has been said so far, Webber was class and if there was any justice his cracking curling effort in the first half would have gone in rather then hitting the post.

That really puts the car among the pigeons in terms of our strikers, just can;t see Billy forcing his was back in for the foreseeable (sp?) future.

Webber was man of the match for me tonight; excellent in all departments.

!00% agreed. Another good game for SDW.

He chased everything, ran at them, linked well with midfield to attack. It's nice to see him back to form.

Webber was my MOTM, he was so unlucky not to get a goal too. Let's hope he continues to play like he did last night.

It was a long way from where I was sat but wasn't it Cahill who allowed the ball to go over his head thinking it would run through to Bennett??

Yeah he definitely had a great game. Just thought he'd made that one mistake.
Thought the defence looked pretty solid for the most part (again) apart from a couple of hiccups just after their goal.
You could see the confidence running through the players when they were ahead. More quality, more passion, more effort. Great team performance overall and a well-deserved win.

Webber looked good last night, probably our MOTM. However, he still tries to do too much at times and ends up losing the ball.

People said the same about Ifill, Kazim-Richards, Peter Ndlovu and nearly every other tricky attacker. I see it as a side-effect of trying to make progress. You're gonna get stopped on as many occasions as you get through, in my opinion.

Exactly. It's no good having 11 players who pass the ball sideways. You've got to have one or two who try a tricky pass or try a dribble.

Speaking of passing it sidways, I thought Monty played really well last night. Made a few good forward runs on top of the usual battling we're used to.

Why not take just take on one less man then pass or play a through ball.

You never know which man is going to be the one that stops you! :)

I know on a few occasions last night he'd got an easy pass on and instead he tried a trick too many, but if you ask Danny Webber to change that aspect of his game you run the risk of losing everything that's good about him. Players like Webber need a manager that encourages them to express themselves. For all Robson's faults he seems happy to give Webber freedom.

oh my lord webberreally stood out last night his running on and off the ball was superb.
