Gus......what a player!

His assist pass to Ogbene for the 3rd goal was top notch....and Ogbene's collection and execution for the goal was also top notch.
That's because there's a player in there that, serious injury setback aside, was scoring regularly and finishing instinctively. He still has that in there, he's just rusty.
He'll be gone in the summer, but what a bloody player. He's so many levels above the rest of the team it's untrue. If he properly looked after himself, I think he'd be playing Champions League football.
I'm just trying to enjoy him, whilst we have him. What a talent. A real joy to watch. It's the inevitable Cov invasion that I'm not looking forward to. Ever since he joined us, they have bitterly resented that move. They have told us he is leaving, every single window. When the day comes it'll be "hhuuuhhhh, muuuhhhh, we told you he would leave you, muuuuhhhh".

its a very exciting prospect seing hamer on the same pitch as phillips and rothwell and i feel that peck and arblaster will be competing for one spot there very similar

Still find it hard to believe some folk forget the ld saying- form is temporary, class is permanent.
And Hamer is quite possibly one of the most talented players we have owned when we consider his creativity and quality of goals. Ndiaye could perhaps be in the same conversation, and having never seen TC play so can’t compare.
But his shooting…little touches, and his deceptive pace and strength. All round top baller.

Playing for his next move now 😉

Personally think if we had a left sided brooks type winger we'd be a better side than having the ability wise far more skilled Hamer

Has been a massive disappointment this season. Dont know why. Maybe not fully fit? Maybe a niggling injury? I believe he has personal family problems which could affect but as others say last 2/3 games looked like Hamer of last season. Ball over the top to COH for first goal v Ipswich, the pass to Ogbene for third v Oxford plus a number of others. Let's hope he carries on.....

The number of times I’ve read on here that selling last seasons best player in the league was a good idea because he looks a bit chubby is hilarious.

He’s quality.
There is a lot of noise.

Without a doubt, Hamer has under performed this season, its taken him much longer to adapt and find his form post Selles, than say, O'Hare. But O'Hare, and i say this as someone who wasn't his biggest fanboy last season, has been exceptional at times this season. Most possibly the most consistent and important player to the team this year. That's in spite of the way Selles had him playing.

Hamer was exceptional last season, kept BBD out of the side and was rightly one of the best performers of the entire division. He's not found his mojo this season, i think there have been a number of reasons - the Selles effect, the formations, his form, his fitness and as i understand it some off the field issues. Whatever the reason, he's finding the form now and you look at his attitude, its admirable, when he plays

Any decision to sell him, like with any player, would have to be a business decision to maximise the money we can get for him. Selling him because he 'look's to have filled his shirt more is, as you say, hilarious.
