Adkins paying the price

Think he may have been on the radar but I bet you nothing was signed until after Adkins started and I bet you the board sanctioned it with Adkins knowledge.
They probably gave Adkins a heads up about it and he might have looked at that and thought "with Jamie Murphy whipping in the crosses he might be useful". Oops!

Didn't Claude Davis hold a knife to Akinbiyi's throat in 2006/07? And that's just off the VERY top of my head.

???? So either you are Akinbiyi and you ducked or you were stood directly in from of him at the time of the incident.

Which was is it 'Danny'....

As I've said above, it doesn't help the current situation we're in to keep romanticising the Warnock era.

And the '35 game' comment would suggest he knew who the 'bad eggs' were from game one.

And also as above, a guy held a razor to another guy's throat and still kept his place.

We are not privy to what provoked the razor episode and how it impacted on actual games, Dane Whitehouse has said fists would be flying if players weren't pulling their weight is that Dane being disruptive not in my opinion. The implication from some posters is we have players undermining NA yet they are still playing or around the 1st team, nobody is suggesting he knew from day one but if he's just spotted it in the last few games that is really bizarre. We all agree the club has other problems that needs addressing, but NA has shown nothing so far to suggest he is a solution to our shortcomings on the contrary he appears to major part of them IMO

Maybe he hasn't been able to farm them all out because no-one would take some of them and, without doing that, hasn't been allowed to bring in as many new as he'd need so he's having to play them? Just a thought. It might just be that his biggest error (and it was a huge mistake even though, at the time, I thought he was right to do so) was to trust that the squad would act professionally so gave them all a clean slate but that's royally backfired.

There's also the time Paul Devlin stuck the nut on Marcus Bent after he squared up to him in the changing room, as told by Warnock.

Difference is that both players got on with their job. Unlike this bunch of pitiful twats who probably bitch about each other in their knitting circles on a weekend.

I wouldn't wish this bunch of scumbags on any manager coming into this job. It begins and ends with them.
Anyone holding Adkins responsible for our current position is being very short-sighted.

My feeling is that although it can't be be denied that Adkins has been a huge disappointment we may as well stick with him, I've no real enthusiasm for him any more but looking at what's happening or not happening at board level then sacking yet another manager and starting again is not going to make one iota of difference to us.

We are not going to be troubling the promotion places for the next couple of seasons so we may as well let Adkins at least try to build something for the long term starting this summer, he at least knows the issues here now and any new guy is going to have to find out about them.

What is going to be an issue is if / when we are mid table around October they will pull the trigger then and leave us once again starting afresh.

Bust ups are probably commonplace in every club throughout the land when passion is high.........dont worry they wont be many squabbles coming out of brammal lane

Hammond is 33 today (he shares a birthday with me) no way would he get a three year deal at his age the best he will be offered is a year with possible year option, whether that is with us or elsware.

Happy Birthday mate, I am lucky, my birthday is in Summer, long after the season has ended and SUFC can't spoil it for me......

But that's just the point. We shouldn't have needed a lot of additions but this lot have decided that they won't perform even more often than last year. They want fucking off ASAP. Forget whether they like the manager and his technique or not, they are sticking two fingers up at us who pay our hard earned money to watch our club - they're saying simply you lot can fuck off, we don't care how much it upsets you but we're doing fuck all because we don't like the manager.
Whatever you think of Adkins . . . . We're fucking stuck with him. That's about the top and bottom of it.

Precisely, and this is why I won't judge him too harshly yet. Only takes a couple of bad eggs to spoil an omelette and our particular omelette seems to carry an odour of old semen and the consistency of a wet turd. It makes one question where we've been buying our fucking eggs from.

When he puts together his team, then we'll see whether he's really up to the task. There'll be nowhere to hide after that. I hope he's up to it.
That's another season gone "pop" then.

For me the club was obviously in trouble long before the JTW opened for some reason the club showed no interest.
It seems ridiculous to say there is money for investment when they get to the Championship it has already been 5 years and counting.
How does selling the best players every summer make it easier to get promoted it hasn't been working, how much evidence does the board need.
Get some decent players in, hang onto them, quit with the rah rah political talk and get the business done .
5 years in League One is an utter failure and a disgrace to this club.

Devs was also booted off the Trinidad and Tobago summer break holiday. Warnock almost manhandled him from the trip.
