Adkins said he ONLY wanted players that were better than we already had and could go straight into the team.

Baptiste is way behind Collins, Edgar and even Basham.

Words fail me with this scenario.

How can you possibly say that after watching him play for all of twenty five minutes?

He can actually run, which already puts him ahead of Collins for starters.

Cannot believe the criticism he has already gotten. What an absolute joke. I am actually ashamed of some of our fan base at times. He was getting slagged off yesterday before even touching the ball, wtf is all that about?
Gotten - is this Phipsy?

Why not? We are only four points away from a play off place. All we have to do is start playing like promotion candidates, unlikely I know but not impossible by any means.

His comedy performance last night is worth going to all the remaining games left alone.

I'm with Baps on this...it is theoretically possible...

Agree with Baps . He didn't play like a tit to me and he has a point . Play offs are still possible.

Carry on Up The Blades. All is not lost , Adkins now has to earn his corn as we have flat lined.

He now knows what is what . Fleetwood result has to be the defining moment . Adkins must be fucked off a much of us fans , and hand on heart can Adkins sort the squad out next season. I think deep down he is starting to doubt it himself.

It didn't help him when his first touch got booed. As usual, there was fuck all on in front of him, so he headed it back to Long. BOOOOOOOO.

Nowt like making the new lad feel welcome. Anyway, I'm willing to give him more than the twenty odd minutes he played last night before I form an opinion. His previous managers have said he's good enough for the Premier League, so he can't be that shit.

Fair enough it isn't usually used over here, but is it such a big deal? Nitpicking over such trash.

;)

We seem to be having a lot of defining moments recently.

Collins.......Sweeper at best.......Plays far too deep and not commanding enough.
Too quick to blame others.......Only watched Baptiste for twenty or so and he has more character than Collins will ever have.
Might be another Ehiogu......Everyone slagged him off before he had even kicked a ball. Was light years ahead of any defender we had...35was he?
If your good enough your old enough.

Agree . In following the Blades for over 50 years I have never known anything like the last couple of seasons . Everyday , every game , every press manager interview becomes a defining moment. 24/7 football circus and sized show .

Indeed, the word "got" is already past tense, so making up the word "gotten" just to reinforce the fact that it's really in the past tense is just plain bizarre. I hate using the word "got" in the first place anyway.

The word "gotten" isn't made up. I should really have used a word like "recieved" but let's be honest, this place isn't exactly known for its perfect use of English.

He's still keen and is used to being part of a professional set-up at Middlesbrough.

He'll learn.
