Make Ben Mee Captain.

After reading Roygbiv view from (cheers as always ), and just from my observations over previous seasons, this is the type of model pro we need as club captain.

Would this upset the apple cart or do you think this would perhaps pull the dressing room onside for RS?

If reports are true about Robbo he should be stripped of the captaincy with immediate effect. A bit worrying too if true because it says to me our manager has no backbone. Still, it's just speculation at the moment.

If he does, wouldn’t that mean we were being successful?

Even if he doesn't start every week, Mee should be the Captain.

Plus, if you're Bindon, Sasnauskas and Zatterstrom, and you could probably include Seriki as well, they should be in this guy's ear every training session, asking him to help them become better defenders.

Especially Bindon who might well have lost his place in the starting 11 now.

When. Selles first came he mentioned as well as his two head coaches he was going to try and recruit a defensive coach. I wonder if Ben Mee is going to fulfill that role as player coach ?

Bassett did exactly the same with Brian Gayle if I remember correctly.

It can be a very quiet pitch and really could only see Mee as the alternative, it is a difficult decision with Robbo but then it could easily be justified.

We’ve effectively bought in a ready made leadership group in these last few days in Ings, Tanganga, Mee and after listening to his interview maybe Ogbene but certainly Mee and Ings they are both vastly experienced and very successful pros who are presumably bought in to what the manager wants to do. Mee as Club captain and Tanganga as first team captain would make a lot of sense. If there were any rumblings of discontent in the dressing room there is suddenly going to be a new in group in there who all know each other from previous clubs and who should command respect for their achievements in the game it could completely change the social dynamics of the squad hopefully for the better and there’s some more buy in from the players. There’s also now a lot of senior pros for the younger lads in the squad to lean on who’ve been shouldering a lot of responsibility during the adverse start to the season.

I think we should make him skipper. Hes the natural choice as hes a proper leader, speaks well, and is highly experienced and respected both as an individual and a player. You don't play all your career ehen your 35, in the top two leagues without being a damned good player.

We are in a state of flux atm, and the previous captain has just gone. Hes Mee is the obvious choice.

I'm hoping that Burrows and Peck will fall in line. I'm not sure what it is but I feel like those two have a bit of an attitude and were "Wilder's boys" which has contributed to their massive drop in form. There were plenty of whispers about Peck wanting to leave, even wilder commented on how Peck believes he should be playing for Real Madrid.

Hopefully they'll see what we're rebuilding here and buy in to it (assuming that Selles actually sorts his shit out and ditches the disastrous 433).
