I think it will be the lowest of the season; because of our poor form, it is a night match and the poor weather. The previous lowest was 17,623 v Colchester.
My guess Is 17,158.
The one that is closest gets a season ticket for next season. The one that is furthest out gets a season ticket for the next two seasons. (Joke!!)

Whats burtons away support like?
Two horse drawn carriages carrying 6 people on each. One of the Horses has been known to push its head through the big exit doors at grounds to see what all the fuss is about, so if you count him in attendance tonight that would be 13 but I don't think there will be owt to fuss about tonight so it could just be the 12?

Remember all season ticket holders counted whether present or not, so still be a relatively high number.

Did you include me in attendance tonight? Just wondering if it will be more fun to go and fuck up your calculations or stay to do that? Either way it could be more entertaining than the actual game!

Announce 18,000ish with an actual of 15/16,000.

Is McCabe, HRH and Jim wrapping up for a night out wi a balti pie?

I will go by the official crowd given! I'm not suggesting that I will physically count everyone in the ground, although as you say, that may be more entertaining than the game.

Are there really that many season ticket holders who don't go?

Don't forget that top of the table Burton will turn out in numbers. Possibly 15 or 20.

Please, this is Sheffield United we turn up every game just like below, from far and wide Snow and hail, even when we are playing poor and seeing no effort. I am third on the left on the picture like all the others we just follow. 20,159 tonight

There definitely a disconnect between reported and actual crowds usually following a bad result. Anecdotal evidence is this is due to the club adding season ticket holders (even if they are not there) to the purchased tickets.

17159.

Don't go then and you will win :)
That will prove how much of a Blade you are
It sounds like I'll still be counted as being there as a season ticket holder, even if I jump into the Atlantic Ocean with bricks chained to my leg.

Are there really that many season ticket holders who don't go?

I would think for evening matches there maybe quite a few who don't go. I rarely do due to distance and work commitments. I imagine a few fellow long distance blades don't make it especially in our current form and league position

Isn't there a full premier league program tonight too, with a game on BT Sport? That might keep a few more away

I'm going for 16,873

My daughter cant do night matches on a school night so says Mrs Sitwell unless its in the holidays ,so shes got out of tonight and your prediction is now spot on :)

Oooh the strict regime in your house. Lucky sod.

16,431 will see us batter Burton for large parts of the game and lose 0-1.

The thing is, if we play as well as we can and so do Burton, we'd win. But the problem is that we've only played to our potential twice this season, and this lot are presently the most consistent team in the division.

Do you think this really happens (not saying it doesn't, just asking)? Someone said something similar about Arsenal playing Barcelona last week.
Wouldn't enter my head to stay at home and watch football on TV instead of attending a live game, but then again I probably wouldn't turn over from Loose Women (worst show I could come up with) to watch football on TV!

I remember the good old days when I would be out with a dozen of us, from teatime onwards to for some pre-match lubrication.

Tonight I'm meeting with a couple of mates who go on the kop, and will be in splendid isolation on my own on the South Stand

I will amend my prediction to 17,158 at the start of the game and 2749 left at the end with 8562 in the car park with their shoes off.

Is that due to the declining popularity of the blades or brownie?
