Attendance - how low will it go?

Do you think this really happens (not saying it doesn't, just asking)? Someone said something similar about Arsenal playing Barcelona last week.
Wouldn't enter my head to stay at home and watch football on TV instead of attending a live game, but then again I probably wouldn't turn over from Loose Women (worst show I could come up with) to watch football on TV!

Not so much for a Premier League game, but I'm sure Arsenal v Barca would have knocked a few off the attendances around the country last weekend.

Is that due to the declining popularity of the blades or brownie?

I'd say a combination of both, not that I want any sympathy.

I've seen a few lads drift away from the matches over the years, as well as others who have season tickets who have been at work all day and just can't summon up the effort to go and watch us because of the poor football on offer. I can't really blame them to be honest.

I like evening games more than Saturdays. Stay at work later, walk to Sheaf Island for few beers and 'Steak Night' tea, then ruin the evening with a couple of hours at Bramall Lane.

I thought that maybe the Clough return factor might increase the attendance a bit so I'm going with 18,500.

Do the club really count the attendance as 'tickets sold' ie including all season tickets? I thought it would be counted by the 'clicks' of the turnstiles. Does anyone have any concrete evidence of how the attendance is actually calculated?

Nothing better than having your £6.50 steak and pint ruined by 2 hours of Sheffield United. My saving grace of night games is no praise or grumble - the phonecall vegetables have to go home and abuse their pets rather than polluting the airwaves.

17,927 it wasn't even our lowest of the season. We must be mad!

17,927 more than that deserved.
