So you agree with me then. Reed made the wrong decision. It actually happened twice and the Kop never moaned at him before his decision they moaned about him playing it long to Woolford when the space was opened twice for him by intelligent runs from our players and he had 20 to 40 yards of space to make a run direct down the centre. Just as in the 2nd half after we scored he got the ball just inside their half and Che? made the space for him, He ran straight and had a shot.Who knows what it can possibly mean? I'll have another go.
Should Reed have retained possession or aimed for Woolford? On balance, kept possession - but you have to mix it up.
The pass I'm thinking of came after loud discontent from some of the crowd: this might mean he went forrads too quickly and, as happens, they got the ball. You'd have to ask him why he tried that pass.
We should keep the ball. Not aimless and purposeless possession for its own sake - but if the alternative is a low percentage speculative punt up the field or a random 40-60, 30-70 knock on, then turn around pass sideways, pass backwards, keep the ball. It's easier to score when you've got the ball. And that's not the half of it.
Btw ad hominem - commonly illustrated with a football analogy: playing the man not the ball.
You make out that loads of fans moan about gerit forud. just because you hear 1 or 2, i suggest you look round next time and actually notice the size of the crowd round you and give some respect that are not vocal. 1 in 20 or 1 in 40 shout gerit forud? your lack of recognition for your fellow supporters says loads.
I need no definition of your last statement because as I pointed out last time you were the one playing the man with your boo or Boo.
