How's about putting all these issues to one side for a while and get behind Adkins and the team ,including the owners.we may get a pleasant surprise.OK maybe Adkins has thrashed around too long trying to formulate a team capable of getting promotion from the inherited players + a few signings who maybe have not come up to expectation.
We are at the business end of the season and can still make the play offs, what's the point of slagging everything United!.Logic says get behind the team and try to pull us through, everyone is frustrated the way it's gone but the prize is still there. We can help or maybe make it a lot harder,it's our choice,ok you might say
it's up to the players but we can help by being more patient if we don't make a great start to a match ( score an early goal ) .As Adkins says we all want the same thing, plenty of time for recriminations at seasons end..
Most of what Adkins says in his latest interview is spot on he wants to be here to put things right, are we finally (and that includes the owners ) going to give a manager the time to do the business or chase a good man away and start the whole process again.
At some point we have to trust someone even if initially it doasnt go well ( sir Alex is a classic example )
let's show a bit of support for Adkins and the team ,what's the point of all this aggro.

I just wish Adkins had not been so "all over the place" with his signings, his tactics and his team selections.

On balance I hope he stays but after 8 months I have more doubts about him than I ever imagined I would have.

He is now in the middle of seriously dismantling the squad in preparation for next season. I reckon he's given up on this season but of course he can't say that.

Watching young players establish themselves is rewarding but at the same time hard work; by nature there is inconsistency.

Expectations rule emotions. If like me our fans have given up on this season then they will be more patient. I suspect a good number of fans will be ready to vent their spleen tomorrow if we perform poorly and I hope it doesn't turn too ugly.

We should be aware that the prince can wash his hands of us and leave us to rot. If he does then why should McCabe bail us out yet again; he gets no thanks for it.

I take your point woody but with 15 games to go there's no way you can give up the chase,I think for certain loans will come in to try to give some impetus either way it's not dead it can be done

I agree to some extent.

The players have been shite, the manager has been disappointing and the board have been underwhelming compared to previous transfer windows.

However, all the above shouldn't stop us from getting behind the team.

Expenditure on new loan players for this season would maybe persuade me that we've not given up the ghost. Not seen any yet though.

By the way, I always try to get behind the team on match days and never, ever boo. That's just basic support for anybody with half a brain. Unfortunately amongst the 20000 crowd there are plenty who do boo given half a chance, it's in their DNA.

On paper i think your comments are spot on ts the frustrations. The disappointments week in week out that get to me.we lose hope one week. Try to build them up the next and get let down 0again the very next game 20.000 supporters are giving there vote by paying through the turnstiles each home game improvements within the team are expected but not being shown we can only keep this up for so long

I gave Adkins as much support as I could throughout the season so far, however as we reach the last 15 games with just an outside chance of making the top 6, we have to discuss his remit when he came. He had a history of doing well in league one so had the credentials , he had on 2 previous occasions got in players who stamped their authority on games and turned under achievers into winners.
Sadly despite some occasional wins he has failed miserably to resource any players who grab games by the throat we still are utterly toothless in midfield, our goal threat is at best sporadic.
We havent collapsed like last seasons other 2 play off losers , we havent become easy to beat , but lose more to being apathetic , short of drive , in some ways this is far more frustrating.

u got my vote mate ive been proudly saying stuff like this for the last few weeks and am glad to see that someone else finally puts something like what i have been saying about backing the team and manager instead i get ridiculed and mocked for apparently not seeing the state the club seem to be in in the other fans eyes am glad to see someone else standing up for the club instead of whinging about that they should be owed money back for the games we dont win, organising useless and daft protests, and claiming the board should give the fans 100% updates on what is going on. total respect to you mate glad to see someone else standing up for the club

Hmm, that's thinking outside the box, not sure many will go for it at the moment ;)

It's not rocket science. If the players put a proper shift in, then the fans will get behind them.
Can they start tomorrow please.

It's totally radical but he might have a lovely warm glow if we chanted his name eg,..."Adkins!"

I'll get mi coat.
