He said 3, including the one just gone which saw some leave permanently and some partially off the wage bill on loan; a good start in cleaning up the mess from previous tenures. So a summer of rebuilding (balls to 'right-sizing', it's a rebuild) and next January for any reinforcements which might be needed and further shipping out of anyone who either isn't cutting the mustard or simply isn't getting the game time they deserve due to being down the pecking order.

We should and must build a shiny new squad to thunderfuck us into the Championship, because as I said, it's a golden opportunity to wipe the slate clean and bring in the new blood that we desperately need. All at the club must prove to us that they deserve our support, because as you can see on this thread, it's all a bit rocky at the moment.

I believe 'last chance saloon' is the phrase. A little more straw, and this camels' broken back will see the poor cunt shipped off to Bernard Matthews.

I am protesting. Stay well fucking clear, eventually the Belgian bun will notice the cash flow is lessening.
 
I'm angry / disappointed / pissed off with loads that the club has done in recent years (hiring Robson, blowing enormous amounts of cash paying players who didn't deserve it and/or weren't a good investment, sacking Wilson, sacking Clough, bottling bringing Evans back without a sound reason, selling both Kyles at the same time, saying "the only way clubs can sign Murphy is on the playstation" and then selling him etc etc etc.

There have also been mistakes that it's harder to blame them for - Weir for example.

All very depressing but all in the past so it would seem pointless to protest about them now.

If there was something in the future that I knew was going to happen and didn't like, I'd be happy to join a reasonable protest about it. The thing is though, we don't know what the plan is (neither do they in all likelihood and maybe that's worth a protest "We demand a plan").

Sack the board? Impossible.

Adkins Out - could see why some would think that but how many managers can we get rid of?

Get some money spent - no doubt the squad needs improving but lack of spending is way down the list of reasons we are where we are today.

Admire people wanting to proactive, I just have no idea what a realistic and desired end result to any protest could be.

Ok, one vital ingredient to add. Despite being lied to before (because it's an improvement on the silence and riddle speak prior), we need Jimbo to tell us this is going to happen. He needs to say that whilst there is a need to maintain some focus on this current season, that if (when) we don't go up, we are going to undertake a massive effort to get it right 3rd time (this summer tx window and start of a season being the 3rd of their tenure).

That might make me step back, show some patience, and frankly it would allow the interaction with him again.
 
Another vote for not spending inside the ground or in the shop. I do this already, not out of protest but because I can stand to give the McCabes a single penny more than I absolutely have, for them to waste and throw down the hole. So, the ticket and that's it. More than happy to spend outside the ground, support the local businesses around the Lane, but I refuse to buy programmes, food and drink inside, replica shirts (very easy this white year) or any other tat from the club shop. All bits and pieces here and there but it soon adds up over a season, especially for people with families. If we all did this it might send a message.
Also, if there was a fund that was set up, either through S24SU or similar, to help promote identification and communication with potential investors and genuine regime changers, to get some movement going, then I'd be more than happy to put the money I save on matchdays into that pot instead. Would likely yield nothing ultimately, but you never know, and, if managed responsibly, it'd still be money better spent than handing it over to the gutless, ambitionless, nowhere-to-be-seen parasite owners we suffer with year after year, season after season. UTB

I believe that communication will come, but not until the play-offs are a mathematical impossibility. We may firmly believe this lot will get nowhere near the play-off final, but we're no further away than we were before kick off yesterday and it's still by all means a possibility. It'd be monumentally unprofessional for a chairman to publicly admit that he also thinks his players are dog shit.

I'd settle for no communication and everybody shutting the fuck up and cracking on with signing some talent, but I think Jimbo will come out with words to that effect at some point.

the desired outcome is to have someone having a hands on running of the club, not running things from afar, a structured plan to take the club forward.

You cannot run a football club from afar without someone on the inside pulling things together, we have no one. Phipps is only the mouthpiece and he admitted they had let Clough to run up a huge squad of injured, lightweight and small players. If people don't want to protest, fair enough, its their prerogative. Each to their own but something has to be done, we as Blades have been turned into passionless zombies who prefer to tap on a keyboard rather than do something. I'd prefer to be banned by the club than just sit taking this year in year out. I've written to McCabe (7 pages) about my concerns and fear for the club I love, that was 3 months ago, no surprise, no reply.

That's the saddest thing with our club. Unlike the single one the Liverpool fans had we have so many issues that need sorting the finger can be pointed at Kev, the prince, Adkins and the players. No leadership, no quality, no heart and no hope

The club have had a CEO - various individuals - for years. Hasn't been a success But that's a fact.

The trouble with committees like this is that they tend to be run by people who think they can run a football club but have no experience and don't have the problem of having put millions in, and lost it.

Initially, after seeing the strength of the fans feelings, attempting to sit down with the directors to see what their business plan is a better bet than demanding this that or the other or pointing out their many failures, which they are well aware of. That's for forums not professional discussion. Admittedly they may just waffle even more but there's more chance of them listening to you if you listen to them in the first of any such meetings.

As I said earlier, how much success do you expect with the 84th minute walk out idea?

so what do you suggest and what exactly is the purpose ,there has to be a direct aim ,no just that we are unhappy at the present situation , which is obvious ,especially on 90 minutes last night. For one guy in a wheel chair to get the best position he could in the rain to register his utter despair at Adkins and the players it was beyond obvious.

McCabe can't sell up because he wants too much and there are no buyers at anywhere near the price he'll want. You'll be claiming he's made money next.

What if he sells to the first buyer like Karl Oyston or Carson Yeung ? Have you really thought this through or is it just an opportunity to throw insults around at people who go to the games ?
I personally think the Saudis are the bigger problem ,how the fuck we protest against them I do not know.

This is what we should be doing. Turn up in numbers because at the end of the day we are all life long supporters of the club and shouldn't have to walk out early when we have paid.

We need to show the owners how we feel in a silent but direct way. To turn away from the pitch shows the board that it is the FANS who are United and that we have had enough of watching our club fall to pieces before our eyes!
