Yes there are some I would like to release if we do go up. Over to AdkinsYou're presuming we'll release them though.

How many teams who were in 9th (as we are) made it into the Top 6? Could be statistically impossible.I've reviewed data from the previous 5 seasons to assess our chances of getting into the Play-offs from our current - 9th - position.
At a similar stage of the season this is what transpired:
2014/15......8th placed team made it into the top 6 but didn't get promoted
2013/14......7th placed team made it but didn't get promoted
2012/13......8th placed team (Yeovil) made it and won promotion
2011/12......Top 6 didn't change
2010/11......7th and 8th placed team made it and neither won promotion
Whilst statistically it looks bleak, we are a mere two points off sixth place and our league form since the Coventry game - when Adkins changed his approach - has been good (4 wins, 3 draws and one defeat). A continuation of our points return over the last 8 games would see us comfortably into the top 6.
Promotion is a long shot but Adkins has adapted and made us into a team that's hard to beat - no bad thing if we do make it to the Play-offs.
Whatever people think about the club's current governance, inquests can wait and this is surely a time to get fully behind OUR team to give them the best possible chance of promotion rather than spouting nonsense about protests.
That's fucked my day up; I'm going to be spending too much time contemplating the concept of 'statistically impossible'.How many teams who were in 9th (as we are) made it into the Top 6? Could be statistically impossible.
It's a bit worse than statistically bleak as per the OP.That's fucked my day up; I'm going to be spending too much time contemplating the concept of 'statistically impossible'.
Phipps comment about Three transfer windows tells you all you need to know. Not only have they given up on this season, they have at least written off a top two challenge for next season.
The season ticket sales will be interesting cos unless they come up with some very good deals for current holders I can't see us getting anywhere near the figures of the last two years.
Appreciate that but we will still need significant investment on the recruitment side if it were to miraculously happen. Championship players cost a lot more than they did the last time we were there and we still have the same right fisted outlook from upstairs.
I don't think we're equipped.

Strangely I think this might be our best chance.
Our record against the top teams is not a write off. We've got experience on and off the pitch.
Looks like Wigan might kick on to the autos, and we'd be in the mix with beatable teams.
But I think it'll be close, and the fans really could make a difference either way. Negativity will reduce our chances.

Thing is BoHo, that I simply cannot remember a time when this board wasnt full of finger crossing posts about keeping in touch, being there or thereabouts, just need to strengthen during the JTW/make use of the loan window (but dont forget the 93 day rule!), are coming into form at the right time, have a nice run of fixtures coming up, the pitches will start drying out etc etc etc and whilst I don't argue with the points I'm just tired of it. I'm tired of having to finger cross and wish our way to promotion. I'm tired of the way we start with Auto as the target then conveniently drop it when we are bang average yet again. I'm tired of having to pretend that the push for 50th place is somehing good, something to be excited and happy about. I'm tired of endless promises of free beer tomorrow.
I'm tired.
It would be the shittest promotion season I can remember, and I would be worried about how we'd survive in the Championship. But I'd still party all night and into the next day if we won at Wembley

How do you know the board have thrown the towel in.Adkins and phipps explained the situation, that's not throwing the towel in!! We failed in the window, that's gone(as Adkins said). There is plenty to play for and I bet loan players will come in to assist, get real!!!
How would you know your mate smacking you in the face wasn't part of your dream?I will believe the loan players coming in when I actually see them standing in our full kit, on the pitch, with the ref just about to blow the whistle to start the match and I've then taken the precaution of asking my mate to smack me in the face to make sure I haven't dreamed it !!
Sorry for being such a cynical old bastard and I hope I'm proven wrong, but our season is over early ( again ) and it all depends next season on being able to get rid of about 15 more players in the summer and recruit about 9 / 10 decent quality.
I just don't think they've got the stomach / balls / know how / scouting set-up for it to be honest ........

Lets get it right Carlos, Paying bystandersIt don't matter a jot what we think. The only people who know if we're gonna mount a push for promotion are those 11 muppets on the field.
We are merely the bemused bystanders.
Many in our current squad will be out of contract this summer so we wont see much of the existing team next season anyway!
Oh yesLets get it right Carlos, Paying bystanders![]()
And I'm sick and tired of the "want it now" brigade insisting we get promoted every season and whining like schoolgirls when we don't.
There's plenty of Jam on the table right now and it's about time you jolly well realised it instead of bringing us all down every post. Knobber.
How would you know your mate smacking you in the face wasn't part of your dream?
Just go for a piss. If you're dreaming you're pissing you're likely to wake up quite quickly.Oh shit ........
Now you've really thrown me a curve ball !!!!
