Does anyone actually believe...............

Can't see where there are players available (to sign), that would improve the team.
So my guess is loaning premiership second team players, or championship players surplus to requirements.
Until the end of the season only. We can't afford to give them contracts like Hammond and Billy's.
That gives Adkins room to manoeuvre come the end of the season to get his own squad together during the summer.
I know that the idea is not unique on these forums, it's been posted before. But it would explain the lack of, so called activity in this window.

The lack of so-called activity or the so-called lack of activity?

..........................................that we will sign anyone who will improve our remote chances of promotion before the window closes????

I'm firmly in the no camp.
And then it will be the tired old excuses as to why not. Im not going to list them cause you all know what they will be.
It won't be a Saturday off for Nigel Adkins, despite the Blades not being in action at the weekend.

With the January transfer window poised to slam shut at 11pm on Monday evening, the Blades boss says the time between now and then will spent trying to reshape the playing squad, with the focus on adding quality to the ranks.

Looking ahead to potential a 'busy' weekend, Adkins remarked: "With no game on Saturday, the sole focus until the transfer deadline passes is recruitment and shaping the squad.

"There has already been a lot of work going on behind the scenes and hopefully we can get a couple of deals over the line between now and Monday evening.

"We are looking to be busy and active, both with ins and outs, but we'll have to wait and see.

"But as I keep emphasising, we are only looking for players who can come in and make a big difference in terms of quality, we aren't looking for numbers."
