Couldn't give a shit what he gets paid, or indeed what any of them get paid, anybody in the team who's upset by his earnings needs to look at why they can't command those wages, might be linked to talent these wages things, who'd have thunk it eh..

We should give a shit about what they get paid, given that the pot of money is finite.

Our performances have certainly been erratic, often in the same game!
As others have mentioned Adkns has changed our style since the early games and we're starting to see some good bits ( Bradford, particularly)

I would suggest our 'convincing' victories have been against teams in a bit of turmoil, Peterborough, Swindon...Fleetwood maybe?
Some were not so convincing..Chessy, Donny even Blackpool..

I dunno, obviously Adkins see's a lot of good qualities in the bloke and fan's are seeing better performances on the pitch ( after too long really)

Let's hope we keep getting better and get a lot more points on the board than the first half of the season.

Hope is all good and well, and I share your sentiment, but I don't think he makes us any better. I think he's a waste of a shirt. He's had no impact on results, or indeed goals conceded. 19 in 13 games without him, 18 in 12 games with him.

I've certainly got me doubts with the bloke, too old, too slow etc... just looking at what I reckon Adkins wants from him and what we've seen in glimpses...

You work for a dodgy compnay if it states in your T and Cs you cannot disclose your salary to anyone inside ( or even outside ) your company. I think such a clause would have zero validity in employment law.

What about the data protection act? Sure you can only use personal information which is relevant to a piece of work and I can't think of many scenarios where disclosing someone's salary without their knowledge would be relevant / acceptable. Just a thought.

My point was that a fair few folk seemed to be getting hung up on what he is (supposedly) getting paid..... rather than what he brings to the team.... when I doubt that anyone beyond the club, DH, his missus and agent know anything about his salary.

Just to restate - I'm glad Hammond's here. He gets paid what the club have agreed to pay him. I don't know what that is. I doubt that anyone beyond a very small circle knows the detail. Why should they?

Adkins has invested a lot in Hammond in various ways, because he was well short of fitness and form at the start of his career here. But he has slowly but surely instilled some uncompromising professionalism into he middle of the park. He needs to continue to improve, but things are going slowly in the right direction.

What's the stats since Brayford came back for the team, with him and Coutts playing together ??

Suspect that will see more of an uplift in results.

We'd played 19 games before Brayford returned v. Barnsley (away) on 28th November. In those games, we collected 26 points so 26 ÷ 19 = 1.37 ppg. (points per game)

We've played 7 games since JB's return and amassed 14 points so 14 ÷ 7 = 2 ppg.

Six of these games were with a Brayford + Coutts lineup (Wigan away last week was the one Coutts missed.) so, in the six games where Brayford partnered Coutts, we've got 13 points so 13 ÷ 6 = 2.17 pwBdpC (points where Brayford didn't partner Coutts )

When Brayford returned, we were 12th place. Now we're 7th.

I read your post as questioning how this information leaks out - given that it shouldn't. I agree with that. But given the figures quoted, I think it's highly likely that anything's leaked out - it's wannabe ITKers.

My other point was that if we are paying anything like these figures, then we're mad. I think he's contributed to our upturn in performance, but see no point in paying him more than a high end third division player - which is what he's likely to be now.

Telling someone what you earn is not a breach of the data protection act. If someone passes on that information which you gave them is also not a breach of the act. However if salary data is registered under the act for e.g. statistical purposes only and someone accesses that data and uses it for anything other than it's registered use then that is likely to be a breach of the act.

That's a fair few people who will know ,and its interesting for them to talk about ,also don't forget that players talk to each other all the time about what they earn ,they wont be shy about it and why should they be. I will say I didn't get it froma player but someone who certainly knows and well before he came I did put it on here. But I am guessing what we are paying him , I haven't a clue as we hadn't finished the deal when I found out ,but no matter what and where ,he will take a massive hit in the pocket at the end of the season.

One of my former employers made it a disciplinary matter to discuss compensation in the ranks. Divide and rule.

Legislation to help ensure women were being paid equally for the same job as men forced that open somewhat.

I do know this but cant say how ,but his basic at Leicester was 88k a month. All footballers get paid monthly ,some are so thick they couldn't divide it by 4 to tell you their weekly wage ,then of course there are all the bonus's etc ,though I doubt Hammond was seeing any of those. Havent got a clue what we are paying him ,I would guess about 10 but that's just a guess. I am always sceptical when ITKers say what they are earning a week. Luton Shelton was knocking off my secretary when he was at Utd and showed his wage slips off to her ,they were monthly (the wage slips).

Actually Sits to work out the weekly wage you would multiply the monthly by 12 and then divide by 52.1428.

So 88000 x 12 = 1,056,000
/ 52.1428 = 20,252 pw.

Taken home about £9000 per week. Personally I wouldn't get out of bed for that. What about you?
