And his affirmation of 100% certainty was based on the assumtion he knows each and every Man U supporter's status and intent, which is of course, a bit daft. I was basing it on the majority of Man U fans I'd met in the Navy which, given it is a representative sample of man and womenfolk across society from all backgrounds and geography, and their allegience seems to be paper thin and their assumption of superiority very evident, supports my case.

As you can see from my post, no where at all did I say I had or assumed I'd met the majority of the Man Utd fan base. Also, as you can see from my post above, I state that it is 100% fact that he cannot have met and got to know the "majority" of Man Utd fans, and so his assumption in his quoted posts above were invalid and unfair. After that, he went on to say that he got his assumption from Man Utd fans he had met in the Navy! Now forgive me if I've got this wrong but I don't think that's any premise to judge hundreds of millions of people. Instead of admitting his silly presumption, he goes on to back track slightly with the following:

I'm ten years older and met him via football at Frechville CA in NEC and County Senior leagues. Lovely lad and I always felt protective towards him what with some of the shit he had to endure on the football pitches of S York's/ N. Midlands in those days. Still bump into him occasionally and he's still as happy and positive as he always was.
