I honestly can't believe there's a guy labelling the majority of the Man Utd fans (there are 659 million according to one source) negatively on the basis of a few encounters he's had! Then he's arguing against the fact that it's unfair to do such a thing when you actually don't know a thing about a fraction of that amount, let alone the "majority".
The forum has reached a new level today. Staggering, really is.

For your information, my cross section of Manchester United fans outside of their usual stamping ground and from a myriad of backgrounds is far more significant and representative of 'plastic fans' and their attitudes than your unstated experience of supposedly meeting every Man U fan on planet earth. And I bet my experience of planet earth is a shade wider then yours, unless you are actually Michael Palin. So, you're wrong. I doubt even you have experience of 'the majority' of Man U fans, unless you live in the region or you run their supporters club. Again, I disagree. You do well to flout unpopularity as if it is a measure of merit by habitually disagreeing - largely without substance with anyone and everyone. I haven't made any assumptions on the majority of the fanbase. Therefore I don't need to have met and got to know any of them. There, that's that one out of the way. Now on to you, you implied the majority of the fan base were dickheads (or whatever as you say), (you seem to have back tracked on that in your last post but that's an aside), now to make that implication, you need to be sure of the characteristics of the group you're accusing. You haven't met and got to know the majority of the fan base (that's where the '100% sure' came in) thus being unfair to generalise.
