Their OG Though

It felt like it was going to take something as ridiculous as that for us to score in the second half, funny as fuck.

It was funny for the 0.0000007 nanosenconds before our defenders recvealed their true dickheadness and let them waltz through and score.
That's what gets me...we were thrown a lifeline with that comical own goal...we're all fired up thinking 'c'mon we can win this now', then we throw it all away and let them walk it in, in the very next minute. It feels like a kick in the nuts.

The og saved Basham's blushes because that 'effort' from him with an open goal gaping was going wide.
Just about to post that comment myself Handsworth.

Think that was the problem our confidence is up and we were throwing to much forward looking for a win and lost concentration. They kept playing short balls at the back to and from the keeper (like we were doing a few games ago) in an attempt to pull our players in and then used their No.10 to hoof it to their front men facing a suspect defence. We just fell for the sucker punch 3 times with topical Wesley tactics.

Whatcha on abart? Bash was aiming for his head

P.S. It was a decent game for funny moments tbh. McEveley's couple of bizarre "mazy runs" raised a chuckle or two as well!

What was strange about it was that he seemed to make an effort to head it and thus divert it into the goal, rather than try to get out of the way...

Seemed like an instantaneous instinctive reaction - just that it was the wrong one :D

Like has been said though, they had the last laugh. Edgar's got a similar tendency to instinctively react - in his case, by turning his back on the ball - which he did about half a minute later as their Samuelsen bore down on goal. He did the same thing for Peterboro's first too.
