To all the naysayers who didn't want Billy back...

Coutts had a great game today ,he links well with brayford. The difference between our left hand side and right is massive. Terrible subs by Adkins again, we lost all impetus when done went off.
Good to hear that Sitters,I'm a bit of a Coutts fan myself...Happy to keep grinding out results at the moment..On the subs,it sounded like Sammon didn't offer much on the radio,I was hoping JCR would have come on for Woolford to run at them and get in behind.

Wouldn't say Coutts was great, thought Basham was the best of a bad bunch in midfield with Woolford as per usual doing less than fuck all.

Done coming off was a joke seeing as he was feeding off scraps all game; we needed Scougall and/or JCR to inject a bit of pace and creativity.

But it's solidity that Woolford brings. In a way he encapsulates the new approach: he defends responsibly and well, but attacks like his boot laces are tied together.

JCR and Flynn aren't great but they're both better than Woolford. Who knows why he starts ahead of these two

At one point I swear Coutts showed some pace bursting past a couple of midfielders. And he pushed on to get that shot on target - should have done better but decent pace (twice - in one post - about Coutts) to get there and stay clear.

Worked well with the Beard at times. (I think they used to work together at Derby?)

Any fan of a club in league one that thinks Billy Sharp signing for their club isn't a good signing is quite simply stupid
I'd disagree there. Look at the money we spent on him. Ridiculous amounts for his ability. £500,000 could have gone a long way if we were to have had any subtlety about us, we didn't even need any new strikers at the time.

Absolutely anyone would have thought he'd approach things to at least cover central defence with 2 tall and strong bodies. Unfortunately, I don't think Adkins resides on earth.

Yes they did; first half we had more joy down the right hand side; well first 15 minutes anyway! Nothing from the middle or the left, nothing whatsoever!

Nice to see he kept his celibration slow key, nnnooooootttttttttt

Barney, re arrange this well known phrase or saying and while you're at it, put me on the list.

Off Fuck Cunt

But isn't that the point - our outlet is our right where the Beard can multi-task - attacking and defending - whereas in most/all other areas it's largely one or the other.

So down the left we keep them quiet. And down the right we look to get something elsewhere.

If JCR or Che had been on I don't think we'd be keeping clean sheets.

I reckon it's the way it is, for now.

Everytime he scores a couple of goals someone starts a thread having a pop at other dans and oroclaiming him as the new lionel messi

Truth is he svores in firs and starts and this argument could go round and round

Hope he scores in every game cant fault his efgortb

Your home town name is very fitting for you isn't it?
Why do you think it's clever to just keep coming on spoiling discussions and causing arguments ? You really are an arsehole , do you actually think you've come on and been worthwhile tonight or are you pleased that you've been such a complete bellend again.

Oh right and the person that randomly comes out with "Fuck off Cunt" is perfectly within his means? I get it now. This forum must work in one funny way.

As far as I know, expressing opinions doesn't spoil anything, the abuse that it's met with does. If you weren't so narrow minded you'd acknowledge that.

I would guess that's one of very few if not the only abusive post he's made, what do think has caused this and many others to do the same. Doesn't adult interesting discussion and debate interest you ?

funny how fans see things differently. I thought Basham gave he ball away a lot today and it was Hammond that was always covering him.

Coutts was good today and I thought McEverley was also very good

Do you genuinely believe they are our tactics?!

I don't think we should be relying on our right back to create attacking moves. Appreciate what you're saying re clean sheets but I'd still rather have JCR on the left wing?

I'd suggest not to come on to the forum then if he can't handle a difference in opinion. I don't do interesting discussion and debate? Or is it because you don't agree with what I have to say that makes you think that?

I'd like you to point me to a single post that goes against reasonable discussion or debate without having initially been provoked by abuse. Or the opposite to that, find an abusive post of mine in response to another posters initial post on a particular subject. You'll see that I express an opinion, I get abuse in return and it escalates from there. And that happens in every circumstance.

Like I said though, if you weren't so focussed on disagreeing with my opinions, you'd have noticed that already.

Barney,
I must have read every post you made since you joined and I made a promise to myself never to respond to the utter shite that you have spouted. I've had a couple of drinks tonight and I'm so pissed off with myself for letting myself be drawn in by your incessant anti blades comments.

Good. I'd be even more pissed off with myself if I'd called someone a cunt because of football. Completely unprovoked as well.

Luckily I haven't done that and I don't think I ever will. I've got a bit of something called respect.

A rarity nowadays I know.

Haha, I wondered when someone would contradict that opinion! Perhaps the truth of the matter is that Coutts Hammond and Basham are all similar in ability and all do a similar job? With the totally ineffective Woolford in there as well, it's no wonder we create very little.

Agree McEverley had a good game!

My policy as well and I intend sticking to it

I think we all agree on the same thing, but those 3 do make us a much more combatitive strong solid unit. We need that player to play just in front, we have Adams,Flynn, jcr or Baxter really to be the free man in that role or do we get rid of 3 of those and buy one quality player to fit in ? Woolford really shouldn't get a look in , I think the fact that it was Scunthorpe got him a shirt today.
In January priorities should be a centre half, they had a good one today, a big striker to back up done and sharp and I think we can still at least make the play offs. They must be quality players though.

Really good that Sharp scored. Really, really good that we got three points. Really, really, really unnecessary attack on fellow Blades by the OP.

Tend to agree 2 banks of 4 is making it harder for the opposition to score and the introduction of too many flair players would open us up to conceding again. If we were stronger in central defence (Adkins you have got to buy at least one big dominant centre half in January) and the defence could stand on their own two feet then players such as JCR, Flynn, Adams, Baxter could be brought back in without it effecting the back door.
