Adams Tweets An Apology For His Actions

Can be read in at least two ways:
  • What I did was wrong and the red was deserved
  • (Slightly different) What I did was unprofessional and put me in a situation where I could be sent off
There's an apparent contradiction with Adkins' interview - but that was straight after the game, and maybe the situation has clarified since then.

But what about the Segway?

watched highlights (as missed it at the time convince my niece to get her gloves on). Che has got no complaints. As it which of the 3 incidents he should be sent off for the bad tackle, the retaliation afterwards or then squaring up to him

Very disappointed with some of the abuse he got on Twitter, some of it totally out of order. Some idiots saying he did it deliberately so he could have a holiday over Christmas!

Still a young lad. No doubt he's got the talent, and I think he genuinly gives a shit.

Nice lad too. Saw my kids in the car park once, both acting a bit sheepish (they wanted a photo with him but were too shy to ask), he noticed them looking at him, doubled back through the car park and said "alright lads?", stayed and chatted for a few minutes and had his photo with them. They were made up.

So yeah, I might be a bit biased, but people calling his professionalism in doubt like that is bang out of order.

Hmmmmm. I really don't think he'd be clever enough to have thought of that.

Didn't Browny pick up his 5th booking the week before Christmas a couple of times when he played for us?

Also a footballer (I think Dennis Wise) admitted he had got himself a ban so he could have Christmas off!

Not suggesting Che did but reminded me of those.

Brown and Wise come across as articulate and intelligent...

....Che likes to play on a Hover board.

Don't think he did it deliberately at all..

In fact he just didn't think.

Players getting sent off for retaliation really irks me, the very least he should do is apologise. Reminded me of Doyles stupid sending off against Fulham. As for better performances, let's hope so, as it seems to be a distant memory as to his last decent one. You came to this club Che, with glowing reports and started off brightly. Now your established in the first team, it seems to have turned you into some kind of prima-donna, constantly throwing yourself to the ground in attempts to win free kicks etc. Give yourself a shake now during your enforced break (thanks for helping with the cause), and when your back concentrate at what your good at.

I know of one player who has managed to be suspended at Xmas in half of the seasons he has been playing, often got a sending off to give him the last couple of games of the season off too.

Surely they still need to go to training, and probably attend the game anyway, no? o_O

Still think refs ought to show more common sense in these situations (as some in fact do) rather than react by thinking "he's raised his hands to an opponent - even though the contact's minimal, the rule book says he's got to go".

Honestly think the Oldham player's the greater criminal here, in rolling around & faking it, trying to get a fellow pro sent off.

He was stupid to get himself sent off but there was nothing at all wrong with the tackle. In fact, it was a very good one.

I wonder if this is the last we'll see of Adams. If the rumours from summer are true about us turning down a bid from Bournemouth, I should think given a pretty poor season so far we might sell if they come back in for him.

I agree Alfreton unfortunately we all know that they love getting in on the act theatrically waving their cards about. Football authorities actually think this has improved the game. As for players rolling about, again the authorities wash their hands of it.

I would imagine Bournemouth's first concern would be buying players who could help them stay up. Adams isn't that player. I don't feel the need to worry and even Jim's not that football thick.

Its been done before by apparently more stupid players...

Usually by players who want to spend time with their wife and kids, perhaps Che wants to spend Christmas playing Just Cause 3 ?

Hmmmmm. I really don't think he'd be clever enough to have thought of that.

If we drew yesterday (a possibility going down to 10 and only 1 up at the time) he would have been eligible for Boxing Day. Pretty sure if any player did intend to have Christmas off the scunny game would be the game to do it. Like you say, that's if they're clever enough

Exactly disagree with the abuse should never do that, I doubt players in the heat of battle are getting their diary out well if I do this I can miss boxing day & normally its comes with a week or 2 fine

Yeah respect that I thought it was a bit of a lunge got more of the man than the ball
