Personally, I think the blame for this fiasco of a season so far lies firmly with Adkins.

The board brought him in (as we all wanted) at some expense. They've given him money for targetted signings (which, bar Billy, have been very poor so far). Yes, the board sold Murphy but Murphy's loss has been nothing like as catastrophic as Harry's loss (with Che stepping up). Going by last season, decent amounts will be available to spend in January.

This group of players ought to be performing far, far better.

That said, I don't want him sacked. I want him to look at what he's doing, be honest with himself about how crap his performance has been since coming here, and then take some serious steps to improve things. How he does that, God only knows (but he needs to be much more decisive, for starters - 442 or 433?, trimming the bloated squad, settling on a consistent first eleven, etc.).

I used to work at a clichė driven company. We used to list 5 words/clichė's before we went in a meeting and tick our words/clichės off as people said them e.g. Focused, positive outcome, run it up the flagpole, throw it in there etc.

We could start a weekly Adkins Bingo competition on things he will say in his PMI, United together, set up to win, honest players, fans were great......
