Don't get me wrong, it's all bullshit but i'd rather we see actions on the pitch rather than a few meaningless words from an interview.

Adkins is saying exactly the same stuff as he did when struggling at Reading (used to hear it all the time on the Football League show) - same tone, same style and yes it's bullshit for the cameras, press and public.

No matter what Adkins does with this group of players the end result will always be the same. They are simply not good enough no matter what tactics or system he deploys. They are mentally weak and not upto the task of playing for sheffield united football club.

Id there is one criticism of Adkins its that he didnt bomb out 2/3s of the squad whilst he had the chance. Who knows... Maybe he did and there were no takers even on loan so we were stuck with them.

Not sure when he had the chance. Half of them were injured.
I can't think of anything that's gone right for him since he came in. I'm concerned it might be getting to him. Are we currently the most difficult club in England to manage? We must be up there with Sunderland, Newcastle and Villa. Maybe just beaten by Blackpool.

3) Woolford - ok, good at scunny under Adkins - doesn't give us anything now
4) Hammond - ditti above - too old, too unfit, too used to better footballers - taxi to Leicester
5) Edgar - looked great for a few games - shit since he flew off to Canada - and injury prone?

Probably fair to say, Billy has had a positive impact - but then he IS a Blade, so he will be trying that bit harder.

I don't ' know mate. I just think the problem isn't Adkins.... I think he is the answer. The problem lies elsewhere.... In the boardroom and most certainly in a bloated squad of psychologically weak players. Adkins should line the players up tomorrow morning and get each one of them to call out who they believe is the weak link. Sad thing is he might get 11 different names.

They were all poor and maybe there were only half marks in it but the two players withdrawn weren't the worst two in my opinion.

I feel sorry for NA, he now realises that, proper, this team will not get us up, we have got to grasp the nettle that building a team that is good enough is going to take another season or two at least. Nigels signings so far haven't really inspired either have they ?, although I am always dubious now as to whether Managers have the total say in who comes and goes. In my opinion giving the supporters some kind of uplift after a poor result is of fundamental importance, Warnock & Harry could do it, sadly Nigel can't, but not every manager can. Still have faith in him in the long term and it will come good eventually.
